QUOTE(jimbet1337 @ Mar 23 2014, 01:56 AM) Press: Would you assess Liverpool is the potential title winner of this season? honestly, i dont see anything wrong in that. he's cardiff manager, he's there to talk about the game vs liverpool and about his own team. NOT about liverpool and their title credentials. just because he's ex manutd player doesnt mean u have to give him stick. Solskjaer : https://vine.co/v/MMrMdK2TtJJ "Class" |

QUOTE(skyz @ Mar 23 2014, 02:41 AM) Gerrard has 9 yellow card now... ok noted. 9 yellows. so looks like we are bound to lose him for 2 games. he's still adjusting to his "pirlo" role. and he has had a number of bad fouls.. just hope hes around for the big ones against chels, manc and spurs at home.5 yellows before 31st December = 1 game ban. 10 yellows before 10th april = 2 game ban. |

if we can learn a thing from chelsea's defeat earlier, all i can say that there WILL BE A TWIST or two left in bpl. be in title race or relegation battle. a result like this can do more good than harm imo. it will push the lads to try and secure 3 points tmr. wont be easy. spurs are doing very decent under sherwood, but we are the current form team and at home. for now lets enjoy the battle at the emirates!

QUOTE(Cloud0890 @ Mar 30 2014, 03:37 AM) Not quite yet. City still have one game in hand. We need them to lose that game not draw because of their superior goal difference. i think u forget to count that city are to come to anfield. so mathematically, if we win all our remaining games, we will be top.. cant wait for tmrw's match. today's result shud motivate the team. hopefully the lads rise to the pressure! |

QUOTE(solstice818 @ Mar 30 2014, 03:51 AM) Why did you guys talk like the title is ours to lose when the only advantage we have is home advantage? Stay humble, keep the feet to the ground man i think most of us are humble, at least i am. honestly, i feel its mancity's to lose. when most of us say the title is ours to lose, its all purely mathematically. meaning we dont need to depend on other results to go our way, i.e. if we win all 7 games, we win title. we are currently in a 7 game winning streak. |

not sure if this was mentioned, i was watching the game through bein sports stream, where andy gray is one of the analyst and richard keys the host. the camera caught a banner of "the carefully chosen one - brendan rodgers". absolute class act of needling from the fans towards the mancs. i lol-ed hard.
also, city has to go to everton who has a big chance to make it to top four since they play arsenal and have a game in hand. maybe they can help us in some way. i wanna say martinez is also doing a tremendous job there. and come to think of it, he was also on our list of possible managers after kenny. back to our squad, what i think BR has really done well, is the formation tweaks to accommodate both daniel and luis. we were even playing 3-5-2 back then. 4-3-3 with those 2 taking turns on the flank, usually luis more often. this time to have a go at kyle naughton who is probably the weakest in spurs back line last night. rotation of the front 3, sterling on the right at the start, then was at the left. 4-4-2 diamond to get a little more compact against soton who are pretty strong in the middle of midfield. it is so refreshing to see our team set up differently against different teams. it shows that we have different plans if one doesnt work. and with daniel and luis, especially in their current rich vein of form, i reckon we can beat anyone. west ham away will be tough. recently they beat hull who were down to 10 man, and yet was boo-ed off the pitch. the negativity in sam's team's play will always be there. physically strong. carroll and downing might haunt us. who knows. they might even park the bus! i feel those match are tougher. spurs yday gave us a huge favour by nt turning up at all. 2 goals due to really really poor defending and they played with a pretty high line and just got punished. looking forward eagerly to sunday! |

QUOTE(NismoConcept @ Mar 31 2014, 05:20 PM) isnt it red cafu ? flanagan is only 21. still a rough diamond in my opinion. thank god nobody loaned him away from us when he was available during mid season. if not we have to settle for aly on left back.side note, what do u guys think of lallana of soton. i think he can be our replacement for gerrard. would love to have barkley but since he's in everton, i highly doubt so. gerrard is approaching the end of his career. yes he might still be there in 2-3 years playing the pirlo position, but with champs league football next season, we need someone other than coutinho for some creativity and skill. i'd say we should go for lallana! |
