This is so stupid, instead of trying to fix the Paladin class (for pvp) and the Shaman class (for pve), they just took the shortcut and give both sides both unique classes.

What's the point of choosing Alliance or Horde now? The main difference will be cosmetic looks and racial traits in the future.

I'm so hoping future MMORPGs (Age of Conan, Warhammer) will come soon.

It is a brilliant decision. Last time Shaman and Paladin development was stunted because they have to cater for faction balance. Now they don't have to worry about balance, and really develop shamans and paladins into VERY different styles.

No I dont really agree with the pally and shaman on both side.. it juz mess up the game.. it suppose to be special class for each faction.. bliz is out of their mind making them available to both sides..

But i heard that bloodelf pally will have some racial abilities and will not have some of the abilities that the alliance pally have.. same does to draenei shaman.. juz hope bliz will make something good out of it.. it takes us long to kill a pally and now on both side =D lol

but the skill both shaman and pally get is a bit differ from the real one... they are modified version... read it up somewhere...

It simply isn't the same team which started on WoW's development years ago. I myself don't really give a damn about their decision to scrap the "pally strictly alliance/shaman strictly horde" idea. But people are right when they say this is bullshit and is just a lazy, bandaid fix on Blizzard's part.

No offense to you but not all of us here are customers who just bend over and take it. We got opinions and we're not afraid of voicing them out. They don't always know what they're doing. They're humans just like us and they're in the business, so might as well accept the fact that PAYING customers can criticize their decisions.

I'd agree with you back in 2004, when Jeff Kaplan wasn't at the helm. Now I'm worried about the game. Unlike ray123 though, I won't be so loyal as to wait until Warhammer comes out.

Might want to look up a bit about Kaplan. This guy had no experience designing MMORPG content previously, and is just a former EQ freak. And I think most of us know what EQ is all about. You can't blame anyone for being nervous about his team's decisions, from sandlol to this...thing they're planning.

He did a fantastic job designing endgame content. But you have to be a raider to experience them. Tigole hates anti-social ppl

i don't see anything wrong with warlocks being on both humans and undead. undead use necromancy, which is a dark side of magic. warlock magics are also on the dark side (summoning demons and using shadow magic). many humans do that as well, the evil ones

but undead priest no explanation. the Light is supposed to be used for healing. how DO you heal undead? they don't have any live tissue to begin with.

I'm not sure what to make of this statement. I don't raid and I PVP a lot, and I'll be rank 13 this week. On the way to the top I've made a lot of friends, especially so since I'm a healer. Does this mean I'm anti-social by kaplan's definition?

A lead designer shouldn't be focused too much on just one part of the game. Stieg Heidlund, Mark Kern, Bill Roper and their old boys never stereotyped raiders as "no life geeks" nor did they neglect the inclusion of raid content so why is Kaplan...?

Stereotyping non-raiders as anti-social is a serious fallacy IMO. But I won't derail this thread getting into details about that. Now we talk about the possible impact of this huge decision.

Screw Blizzard, I said I'll wait till Warhammer before quiting but the more I think about it the more ridiculous the game is getting. These past few days I can't find any good reasons to log on to WoW, except to finish up some 5-man quests that I've never done before (like turning Scholo's Ras into a human and looting his head!). My guild is going on strong having conquered Molten Core, BWL, AQ20, ZG and working on Princess Huhuhuuhuhuhurhuran in AQ40. I am also a Shaman Warlord (Rank 13), so I've achieved both substantial PvP and PvE in the game.

I canceled my account today.
