Seems like the humor from ACII is back...that young Arno running away from the guards reminds me of ACII where Ezio slept with Christina lol...

I would really doubt anything below a GTX 680 wouldn't be able to play. That would be like only less than 5% of total PC users able to play the damn game. Also Nvidia would be pissed lol when they sold the 750Ti to be able to kick console arse and turns out their customers wouldn't be able to play a game they advertised..

If PS4/XB1 can run the game (their GPU isn't as powerful as GTX680), PC need minimum GTX680? I have no problem running the game but i'm not buying until when it's on sales and dirt cheap. Plenty of games to play.

Actually all they need to do now is to clear up the settings for minimum (resolution perhaps?)...then everyone would be happy already...Is that really so hard Ubisoft? hmm.gif

Thank god local retailers are bringing in Ubisoft games at cheaper prices instead of RM201 on steam or 60 Euros on Uplay, what are they crazy thinking we all print $$ from our PCs?
Anyway will try the game on GTX 680 and R9 290 to see why the f*** I need a GTX 680 to run the game on low...

Guys, would you prefer Far Cry 4 or Unity?

Come give me some review and opinion. Maybe both I buy or just one or none!
*
Far Cry 4 feels like paying a $60 DLC, but since Far Cry 3 is already ultra good, so if you like that game a lot, then sure buy. If you are feeling of trying new styles of gameplay, AC Unity should be your choice since the game looks and plays quite different to older ACs, though the chances of getting an unoptimized port is also higher...personally I am getting both from Impulse, so no complaints here tongue.gif

for anyone that wonders why retail is cheap for these games, its mainly because they are all uplay versions, and uplay retail sells cheap across the world, in russia for instance, its only rm80, in asia its around rm100.

uplay sells it cheap because they want people to play it directly on uplay, not via origin or steam.

anyway, preload has finished, cant wait to unpack 2 days later

Uplay version ain't that cheap either...60 Euros wtf Ubisoft?

Digital version lo. If sell cheaper than retail sure those SG retailers go rage again.
*
sad.gif yeah you are right...looks like buying PC Steam games from retailers not really worth it due to lower prices in Steam, probably they dun wan to anger retailers

Question is, why suddenly this "retail is cheaper than digital" issue came up? It's always like that for years already.

I dunno, steam sales perhaps? tongue.gif

Looking at the graphics and performance guide for ACU from Nvidia, kinda lost faith in the optimization of this game. Srsly a GTX 770 is just like a GTX 680 with faster memory and the settings is a lot different (High vs Low) wtf?

EDIT: Nvm just watched some youtube footage of AC Unity, GTX 660 is able to get around 40FPS average at 1080p HIGH settings, hell even R7 250X is able to run at 720p medium settings at 30FPS average, probably just Nvidia trying to force ppl to upgrade

Great, now I am worried about the optimization on PC, still waiting for my copy from Impulse. Will maybe be like last time 2012 where FC3 is a lot better than AC3, this year probably ACU worse than FC4.

Based on my playthrough currently:
+Graphics are ok
+Parkour animations looks awesome especially when coming down from building
+tons of sidequest like solving detective work is quite fun, especially when need to use brain
+Combat finally a bit different from previous games.
+Arno is interesting when compared to AC3 Connor
+Death executing by enemies quite refreshing
+I though the rifts or whatever when introduced will affect the flow at first, but actually when playing, it feels quite refreshing from all the murdering and it doesn't happen so often that it makes you bored of it.

-Combat is not consistent for me. When you parry, sometimes it won't register, and when enemy is preparing to fire at you when you are running, there are no indicators at all. This can make combat feel very unfair.
-Performance is crap, try playing 4K on all low settings at 15FPS even on GTX 970...with the graphics it should be around 30FPS, not 15 on all low
-NPC pop-ins...damn distracting
-NPCs skipping up and down WTF?
-Story makes the game feel like Revenge Creed instead of Assassin's Creed, since the game doesn't really focus on the Assassins...
-Predictable story
-Camera is crap especially during combat in tight corridors with more then 4 guards+
-Arno seems to like to jump wherever he likes
-Interesting characters such as Napoleon and de Marque (I guess) are ultra underutilized
-Guilotine is ultra underutilized in the main story considering they kept promoting it
-Killing guards stealthily can easily be detected by nearby guards (not too close), making me wonder if that is really a stealth kill...
-No disarm
-Stupid chest want me to download apps
-Getting in a window is pretty hard...seriously...especially when you are running across rooftops and trying to jump into an open window
-Microtransactions kept getting pushed into my face through Helic credits. A $60 full game shouldn't even have Microtransactions, doesn't matter if it helps you save time or whatever. Even worse is this game is only SP and Coop, not MP competitive.
-Considering Arno is not a apprentice Assassin, why the hell he can't use his hidden blade to stab enemies lying on the ground when in combat?
-Where the F is my dual hidden blade?
-Stealth is also inconsistent, sometimes I can stand behind an enemy and he can't detect me, sometimes behind a wall he can see you or you can't assassinate him even though he is quite close

Haven't got anyone to play COOP with me...
