trust me, it's worth making that trip to allscript instead of hunting for the mags all over town. i did that with the fighter aircraft and lived to regret it missing out on a couple of issues and when i finally got my butt to allscript, no more stock already. the apache longbow happens to be one of the more in demand chopper... kinda like the f18 was for the fighter aircraft collection.

any idea what the next issues are? are we still following the uk series? if so, looking forward to issue#9 lynx and issue #11 huey!

dunno whether the apache will make its debut in the malaysian series but judging from the uk series, it's quite possible since they have both the puma and super puma (but then again, that's because it's the uk).

yups... berlambak lambak issue#3. hence my conclusion hc not generating as much interest as fac.

haha... strangely me quite the opposite. when i first saw the blackhawk, eventhough it was only rm9.90, i didn't bother getting it. perhaps it was out of my frustration not being able to get my hands on the latest fac issue then (the bookstore manager said, "why don't you buy this helicopter mag instead" after having gone back to the boostore for the third time in as many weeks and being told for the third time that no new issues for the fac had arrived). to be honest, don't quite fancy choppers...

it was only when i went to allscript's office to get the fac issues and saw the other HUGE choppers in the series that i thought it wasn't such a bad deal after all. but by then all the blackhawks had been sold out. although ambika did mention that they will be bringing in additional stock, i'm not holding my breath, especially not after i read about our comrades' experiences dealing with allscript in the past. they may yet surprise me though... but the blackhawk did not make an appearance in my last shipment from them.

yups! would be strange for fighters aircraft to be gunning down civies... 

you saw my target lock list or not? me gunning for the military choppers also...

not that many military choppers out there anyway, and even fewer attack choppers... and they generally have long production lifespans. the choppers have rather distinct roles from fixed wing aircraft, so i guess it is only natural that they ended up in sar/logistics ops.

but i'm not really familiar with choppers. mind sharing what other models you were hoping to be included in the series? personally, i'm satisfied with what's on offer according to the uk edition (although i would've preferred the apache and the apache longbow compared to the puma and super puma).

i've yet to receive my issues 9-12. should i be worried? 

hmm... seems like interest in this collection has cooled down after the first ten issues. looks like most did not continue their subscription with allscript?

According to the Malaysian list at http://helicopter-magazine.com/mal/models, the issue 13 Piasecki is already here. Anyone can confirm that?
