For me, buy a cheap book which shows u all the basic easy chords with pictures how to hold and finger placement.
Learn to hold the chords properly, full chords, open chords. Learn plucking, strumming with and without pick. Learn to play few easy songs provided in the book. Then u can try utube, ultimate guitar and so on |

Here's something more advanced from normal tabs: get a software called Guitar Pro. I think the latest is Version 6 or 7 now.
It's a software that basically reproduces songs in MIDI format, and you can find plenty of songs out there to download and learn from. One of the places you can download songs to learn from is ultimate-guitar.com This software allows you to slow down or change tuning/key of any song you want to practice. It's also a good songwriting tool. As I'm not musically educated, I use this to write draft song ideas too so that riffs and solos are in time with a drum beat idea I have. |
