Honestly I am an spm holder, but been working as programmer few years ago, I have been changing a few company in last 6 years, now I am 28. My current salary is RM3k, it seems like I unable to get better job than my existing one thus I am asking for suggestion.

I have been learning programming since I am a kid like standard 2, so I do have a very solid programming basic and knowledge. But I do NOT have good academic result cause I was quit halfway studying at college(personal reason). My main problem is that I unable to join any good company due to their requirements(degree/master in ...), cant even getting a chance for interview, I know if I able to get a degree I can get a better job, but currently I have to keep on working for my life, and most company I joined keep on telling me that I do not have qualification thus they unable to increase my salary even my performance surplus their expectation, thats why I keep looking for better oppotunity and chance. A fresh master holder joined my company has the starting salary of RM2.5k, I took 4 years to get that, I feel so down.

I hope I can have a stable income of at least 4k-5k by the age of 35. I would like to listen to any suggestion how can  I improve my career. Any advice are welcome.

I'd say you're doing quite well actually. But if you really want to break out of this cycle, you gotta stop that rat race you're in right now. Go freelance, set up your own in house software company, web design, online portal or something. Not only will you break out of that employer-employee deadlock, you're going to be meeting customers of far higher net worth than your employer, and you'd have more flexibility in working your style.

Yes this is a big risk to take, but with big risks comes big rewards.

Agree agree..but nowadays...graduant from IT fields can say already too much. And also have many experience workers from big company start to setup their own business. But it show that too much competition in the software line. If every person also work the web design.. then u need something special than other. If u doing the software..then u need to have ur own thinking and ur experience to predict that what kind of the sw that useful for future...talk is easy than action...
If start a business is easy, then in this world no body want to be the workers in the big company already. Maybe most of the people scare of risk. So...;-) good luck..totally agree with the bigger risk come with the bigger success.

I agree about starting a software house, but the problem is how to get customer is the main point, I m good at communicating with computer than human, I have the skills, special ones I assume(many ppl dont know), but I do not have the chance.

Like I know GPS, GPRS, SMS, PLC, RFID, Barcode, Serial communication, sockets, smart card, MyKad, the problem is how to get customer ? Yes I know I can do freelance part time, but how to know who is looking for these in the market.

Again, I am very thankful to you ppl, trying to encourage me, and helping me out.
