Setia Sky Residence not the best example. As owners who bought long time ago, the MRT2 news or station not even there yet.
Unless you mean subsale buyer. When news about the MRT2 station confirm there, maybe back in 2015-2016, then only investors buy. And end up need to hold for 7 years before the station completed.

When SSR was launched. There is no confirmation of MRT 2. It is either plain luck or very accurate judgement. That is even at the launch of Block C And D.
Buying SSR at a bargain price in KLCC but not within KLCC and was Setia first high rise project was indeed a bit risky at that point.
Fast4ward 7y, MRT2 is there and will be ready. For sure it wll boost the price further.
Meanwhile just have to hold it as long as u can. For ownstayer will have to endure Airbnb stayers using the common facilities and poor workmanship, ongoing MRT construction noise and dust. Apart from that. Very good connectivity.
Fair point. More like the SSR unit owners just got lucky there, unless some had insider info about MRT2 before its actual announcement. Or like what AskarPerang mentioned, interest in that project surged after the MRT2 announcement.
Kind of remember 2 years back that the sales gallery for SSR was still up at that time. Only when I visited a few subsale units in Block A and B recently did I realise that it was demolished to be turned into one of the MRT 2 entrance/exit. Workmanship looks so-so, but found the unit layouts to be weird. As for the facilities, it is currently undergoing renovation, but it looks like its seen better days. Block C and D's facilities are still in good shape as its more recent.
What I've heard from the SA on the poor maintenance of the 1st 2 blocks are due to the fact that the management received money from Prasarana for the sale of the sales gallery land to them to build the MRT2 entrance/exit. When that happened, it seem to have created some sort of internal problems between the owners, JMB and the management regarding it until the unit owners refused to pay a single cent for the monthly maintenance fees.
