Hello there.
Any suggestions or recommendations?

1. Preferred Brand: Any brand should suffice. Preferably ones that fits my usage.
2. Budget: RM3k below.
3. Usage: Educational stuffs (MS Office, VS Studio, etc.), heavy gaming, movies & music, web browsing, and if possible, light-weighted.
4. Preferred laptop/screen size: 14" - 15"

Your help is much appreciated.
Thank you.

Hello again, so I've kinda rounded up the brands I'd actually want right now, sorry if it's troublesome.

1. Preferred Brand: Lenovo, MSI or Asus.
2. Budget: RM3k below. (Or within the range)
3. Usage: Educational stuffs (MS Office, VS Studio, etc.), heavy gaming, movies & music, web browsing, and if possible, light-weighted.

This is the most powerful gaming machine around your budget and within your requirements:
14"
Lenovo
Y410p, i7-4700MQ + Nvidia GT755M(GDDR5)@RM2899, 4GB, 1TB, DOS, red backlit, 120w psu, swappable ODD, 2 years warranty
Y410p, i7-4700MQ + Nvidia GT755M(GDDR5)@RM3199, 8GB, 1TB, W8.1, red backlit, 120w psu, swappable ODD, 2 years warranty
*
If compared between the Y410p with MSI's GE60 series, which would be better?

Hmmm, you guys need to be more specific when you ask this kind of question laugh.gif
Better in what? haha MSI GE60 is probably better if you want to use it as a board to chop vegetables since its larger in size laugh.gif

Anyways, jokes aside... it all depends on what you want - 14" (portability) or 15" (better viewing pleasure)
The GPU in the Y410 is already better than the GE60. And don't forget the GE60 runs on FullHD, so the performance will take a bigger hit if you are gaming on Full HD nod.gif

Oh sorry. I'll try to be more specific next time. I was actually talking about the MSI GE60 Apache series.
Now I'm thinking, is there any laptops within my budget that has the new Nvidia Geforce 800M series? Maybe around RM3.5k

Most of the brands have not refresh their notebooks with the latest Nvidia GPUs yet, afaik hmm.gif
So you only have these two:
15.6"
Asus
N550JK-CN026H, i7-4700HQ + Nvidia GTX850M (DDR3) + (1920x1080) + Bluray@RM3899[2.6kg], 4GB, 1TB, W8.1

MSI
GE60-2PE-097MY, i7-4700HQ + Nvidia GTX850M + (1920x1080; anti-glare) @RM3999[Dynaudio], 8GB, 1TB (7200rpm) HDD, W8.1, multi-coloured backlid

*Prices in RRP, negotiable
*

Oh I see, will those two models outrun the y410p in the long run? Or is it not worth spending the extra buck? hmm.gif
