there's another view that u guys forgot. the pay. if both a degree holder and master holder can do the same job with the same result (maybe coz they're fresh, or same level of experience), why should they pay extra just bcoz this guy got master? same goes to dip holder. and i agree with LYFfan than master holder are more valuable in 'boosting credibility' of a company/department.
which qualification will employer hire?, degree or master??
