Hi all, need to renew my driver's license asap. Need to know if it can be done at the post offices now. They said November 2013 all post offices will be equipped to renew driving licenses to the card type. Wanna confirm before I go to the post office.

If cannot be done at Post Office and has to be done at JPJ how long does it take?

Thanks.

Card type better go to JPJ branch at UTC or JPJ itself..

they will take picture of u, the card will be ready in 5 minutes.... Only queuing for paying the driving licenses will take longer time depend on which branch u go..

yeap i got it done at JPJ shah alam. more than 100 numbers ahead of me but was only took 1.5 hours. queueing for my turn took the longest, from paying to collection only 5 mins as i was one of the last few in there. haha

Or just go to post office and get the "old-style" license. smile.gif Do you absolutely, really, need the new plastic card type license?

my friend told me who's done renew his driving license this year. JPJ already implement the new driving license since LAST year. so if they still accept the old license, why they want to implement the new one? i mean the card is not valid, not your driving license. when want to renew, have to renew use the new driving license lor.

Might be card printers to print your details on the new credit card style license. Can someone with this new type license check and see if they are laminated?

aiyo....she say no need bring photo mai no need bring loh why you want to search for the camera pula....takkan they have to show you where they keep the camera meh....

anyway....it's true that photo is not required....it's either they take for you new or use the ic photo...the camera is not those normal camera lah so u wont see the 'camera'...

having say that...this is based on my experience at JPJ....post office should be the same...
