They are aiming for a $500 launch price. So yes, definitely over RM2k.PlayStation VR™ Community Official Thread | V1, PlayStation VR2™ Revealed!

QUOTE(Currylaksa @ Jan 6 2022, 12:46 PM) Would not work without developer patching. RE7 requires the external camera, there's none with the PSVR2. QUOTE(squall_12 @ Jan 6 2022, 08:19 PM) ya i bet as the spec for the psvr2 is very high end but if they have some of the must have VR games to play then i will buy it even it is over RM2k. It's important that they put more focus on VR instead of it being an afterthought again. |

It's important that they put more focus on VR instead of it being an afterthought again. |

QUOTE(Currylaksa @ Jan 7 2022, 10:13 AM) What he mean is the game still natively need PS Camera for tracking. So if wanna play RE7 with PSVR2, dev need to patch the game so it will work with the in-out tracking not the camera. |

QUOTE(Currylaksa @ Jan 7 2022, 10:13 AM) different tracking API, VR1 is outside in tracking, VR2 is inside out trackingbasically on VR1 the game uses the PS Camera to track your headset movement, totally different way of tracking compared to VR2 inside out tracking like i said previously, it's unlikely VR1 games will be compatible with VR2 headset out of the box, unless the developers are willing to patch it or worst, re-release it as PS5 version and you'll have to buy it again I'm guessing the latter scenario is more likely to happen judging on how Sony is treating most of the cross-gen games |

QUOTE(greyshadow @ Jan 7 2022, 10:27 AM) This is strange lor.AFAIK modern API's are normally blackboxed. By right 3rd party software does not need to know or care how the API does the tracking on their end, as long as the interface and I/O are the same. Or else how does a Steam game work with both Index and Quest 2. |

The console "exclusivity" already lapsed long time ago. dark_heart07 liked this post

Sad it isn't wireless. After playing with Oculus Quest 2, I don't see myself going back to wired VR headset.

Really looking forward to PSVR2, i enjoyed playing Ace Combat 7 & GT Sport in VR mode with PSVR1
But the low resolution & amount of cables used really a turn off for me, only used it for a month & sell off |
