Sony will do fine, Nintendo has proved that graphics isn't everything. PSVR will undoubtedly survive just with robot rescue ripoffs and Japanese moe games, don't forget VR prawn.

I'm fairly certain it'll not suffer the same fate as 3D TVs and Vita.

If you're referring to the Wii success, that was a surprising success with "casual gamers" that have very low technical expectation, whether in terms of graphic or motion controller accuracy (these people won't complaint about "drifting control" or low resolution texture). Not to mention Wii was a super cheap device aimed at general market, these market segment would deem a normal PS4 too expensive, least to say the VR set that is even pricier than the console. They would also deem the games to be too serious.

VR at the current stage definitely is only for the "tech hardcore" and "veteran gamers", totally different market segment compared to those Wii casual gamers...... Just my 2 cents notworthy.gif notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

No matter how high tech or very well specced machine this Scorpio is going to be... but as long as Microsoft refuse to OFFICIALLY support the console in Malaysia, I will have to say fly kite to their product here. Having owned an xbox360 before, it's damn annoying when things go wrong with the machine and you do not get locally official support.

I had a meeting with Microsoft i think earlier this year, regarding a project we were working on and I asekd them why no official support for xbox in Malaysia. They quoted, piracy.

Hi guys been thinking to PO the VR with move controllers from HeavyArms. Since it's my first time dealing with them I wonder if they're reputable seller? Is it around RM189 for one move controller?

Been reading this thread and seems like need to adjust IPD or something to make it sharper but I feel like it's hard to adjust those things, is it actually easy? Will I know how to adjust it once I have my VR?
Thank you.

Resolution is fine as long as game running in native res with clean image.
Games like Playroom VR, tumble etc all very immerse, I forgot about the resolution in few seconds.
The problem is some games running none native resolution like Driveclub. I think PS4 Pro will fix those.

As for Scorpio, I think it support VR just to tick the box. Plus, PC VR solution will get phase out faster.

I'm referring to the 3DS and its games, it's mind boggling how much they can keep selling to this day.

Portability. Streetpass. Commute on train rides. This is very much so in Japan where you public transport a lot. So portability makes it very accesible and practical compared to owning a console at home fixed location.

And they are more practical over game play compared to graphics.. basically graphics is not the be all end all deciding factor. If the game the enjoyable, then it's playable..

Unlike quite a lot of western game where emphasis is on graphics and gameplay only lasts like... 8 hours max gameplay? Then it's time to sell the cd to secondary market..

Yeah..... as an adult in Msia whom always drive, there's never spare time for a handheld, I guess handheld is great for kids waiting for pickup or adult in cities with advance public commute e.g. Japan, Singapore, HK.....

58.85 million units as of Q1 2016, with 21 million in Japan alone.

Now if only we can have a fraction of that in most households, that'll be great for VR.
