It's not the matter of design complexity, it's the matter of logistics and materials cost.

8k TVs below 75" are pointless. So the only way up is to keep going bigger. The sharp 8k TV is actually a mediocre TV, all it has going is the resolution and size. But everything else from backlight, panel, processors, and so on are just subpar stuff. It's not cheap to have a 75" TV or larger to employ many of the features in mid-high range TVs of today.

Logistics wise, the bigger you go the bigger the headache for shipping, the bigger the problem for packaging, the more electronic chain stores have to plan and spend on manpower to send and install TVs of larger magnitudes.

So one thing at a time, resolution isn't everything.

But let's stop going off topic.

I think logistic is really not a big problem when we consider that bulky appliances like refrigerator, washing machine, dryer etc can be shipped and sold at reasonable price after including logistic. Agreed that many of the cheap and big size Sharps TV are really hideous low quality display, resolution alone cannot make a tv look nice doh.gif

How many of you are getting the pro at launch?

Mine's on a waiting list, possibly late nov/early dec.

Can't wait to see the improvements especially in Bound.

Call of Duty's VR Experience Free to All PS4 Owners, Not Just Infinite Warfare Players

Jackal Assault will be "available to all PS4 owners, not just for players who have purchased the game, as a free, added bonus on November 4."

Come Friday, anyone on PS4 will be able to download Jackal Assault from the PS VR section of the PlayStation Store.

If you have cinematic mode drift, turning off Bluetooth around you helps a lot, it's still there but happens much lesser now.

I ordered from Sony and called their hotline later to ask how long would it take.. they said 7-10 working days.

There is vast future for VR and creativity to explore. Unfortunately not everyone can get used to the VR.

Anyway I found this link a guy actually played piano in batman arkham VR. Wonder how he kept his move controller precise.

Well actually I wanted to wait and buy it next year to see if there's an option for other brands... Then I saw the 12 months interest free installment for maybank credit card so I went ahead. Another thing is that to get used to the VR which might require time for certain games.

For 480p files, acceptable.
For 720p files, still ok.
For 1080p, not as sharp as on normal 1080p screens.

I find PSVR cinematic mode very fun to watch YouTube videos, since I don't stream 1080p quality all the time, mostly 480p enuf.
