QUOTE(eahdoe @ May 2 2014, 01:37 PM) A question about the welcome cash back (RM 150 Cash Back if you siwpe your CC within 60 days - CIMB CASH BACK CC) Does online transactions count? Per say that you have paid your outstanding balance for this month and the welcome cash back is only qualified to be reflected on next month's statement, will it offset from your new outstanding? If yes, does it have any time period before lapsed? online transaction counts. usually any credit entry will offset existing outstanding. you only need to pay the reduced net amount. credits given to you will not be forfeited usually, just spend and offset it

QUOTE(tifosi @ Jun 4 2014, 02:57 PM) I guess there are different MCC codes within Airasia itself. I did 3 transaction, 1 was credited automatically, 1 was credited after I made some noise and another was not credited because the MCC code/POSCODE was not in the rebate category. So it's still a lottery I guess. So far the automatic one is Airasia X to Seoul. My other 2 (one Airasia Philippines and one local Airasia didn't get) to avoid disappointment, use UOB Vox Card, sure can get the 5% cash rebate provided you have not fully utilized the cap

QUOTE(betatestar1 @ Jun 13 2014, 06:49 AM) Received a call from cimb & told they will be discontinuing cimb visa signature credit card and its programme. So any application made at this time of period for this card will be discarded and given another options of card. Problem is if they want to discontinue any credit cards first they should remove any info related to the card out from the website and update the application form to avoid confusion. I feel so dumb preparing the documents, drive all the way to the bank and submit the forms & end up wasting all these time for nothing. Could anyone here please shed some lights & confirm on this matter.. they may want to revamp the card before pushing it back to the market again. Anyway, there are not much benefits attached to the card

CIMB is being tricky on the word Posmode 81 and those airlines MCC.
I bought firefly tickets also did not get my rebate either on 20% or 5% category. Now I rather use UOB VOX which guarantees me 5% rebate on online transaction.

QUOTE(yw46 @ Jul 11 2014, 10:47 AM) 100,000/150 = less than 700 cardholders only. first day of campaign probably finish already. how many peoples actually hold CIMB mastercard and will spend 1500 on online transaction on that exact same day. it is unlikely that it will be fully utilised on the first day. maybe 3 to 7 days
