So frustration .. CIMB charged 1%(after calc only 0.8%, so is crossborder charge) extra when I used my CIMB CB Plat on expedia.com.my for hotel booking. Called the CS and they told me hotel booking on expedia.com.my/cimb is oversea spending..

BTW, what is cross border charge?

hi guys sorry if i ask a stupid question
does the card privilege applies to EVERY type of CIMB credit card?i just scroll through the website, and they seperate "credit card" section with "card privilege" section

im interested in a cimb card which provide me dining beenfits, is the CIMB gold suitable for me?
*
actually u can use any cimb card as it has dining privileges but if you use mostly for online you can go for cash rebate card, just take note that there are cross border fees on it

With the new TnC on the additional cash rebate and cash rebate for e-commerce? Can someone suggest me the following example is correct.

Purchase made for MAS : RM296
Additional cash rebate earned (20%) : RM30 (capped to RM30)

So how much can I swipe for e-commerce 5% to get the max rebate per month

Case 1 : RM400 (the remaining RM20 of RM50 cap)
Case 2 : RM0 (used up maximum RM30 - but that is for additional cash rebate so should not clash with the e-commerce rebate right?)
Case 3 : RM600 (5% of RM600 e-commerce capped at RM30 but that will lead to my total rebate for the month equals RM60)

So I'm thinking most likely Case 1 would be the scenario to maximise the rebate right?

Hope someone able to answer me on this as it's quite confusing.
*
since 20% means u hit max rm30 cash back d
if it's just online transactions u will be spending in a month then it's rm600 to max it up

One time RM150 cashback..I have to pay for the GST (RM50). So total cashback got=RM150-RM50(GST)=RM100.

looks like the same as pbb vs promo

Dear all sifus out there, I'm having CIMB Cash Back Platinum. Was kinda confused with its cash back. I received stAtatement showing RM30 + RM20 + 0.3% the rest.

Is it maximum RM50 only? If I charged more grocery shopping, it will also cap at RM50 and convert to 0.3% only?

Currently having MBB2 card (fully utilized), HLB wise (fully utilized).
*
max rebate u can get a month is rm50 so if your online transactions already max rm30, u can spend rm1k groceries which will give you rm20 so that's rm 50/month

Dear all

I have no idea about Cimb cash back calculation.

Here's what I got in September.

Mostly my spending on this cash back card is : flight tickets and online transactions.

I saw it looks like a cap and not worth spending more.

I could have charged to Amex or other cards.

Pls enlighten me how does it goes.
*
since cimb cash back is by statement date it could be due to u max the RM30 rebate from the previous statement

For cimb card, after GST is charged and if the CS doesn't want to offset the GST for you, you can cancel the card without paying the GST IF you haven't charge any transaction to the card AFTER the GST.

Unlike some other bank which you are bound to pay once the GST is charged.
*
which bank are referring ? most banks tell me u don't have to pay as long there are no transactions but even they insist u can leave rm50 in there, call every week to waive and close the account

In that case, I really dunno whether I shd use cimb credit card for air Asia ticket. Since AA charge RM16 for processing fee, if I pay by online banking, it will be RM4 processing fee only per booking.
*
any cc they would also deduct the processing fee unless you use direct debit card
