Not sure if this is the right place. I'm looking for a mechanical keyboard recommendation just around the RM300 price range (can be slightly above too).

I'm coming from a Razer Blackwidow Tourney (Cherry MX Blue). I would probably want to avoid detachable cables.

I wonder if I top up a bit more I can get the Ducky Shine keyboard. tongue.gif

Most of the prices quoted here seem more than what I can find in the stores. I'm guessing you guys normally get your keyboards from the Garage Sales here?

There truly is nothing wrong with detachable cables, as long as you keep the wiring neat behind the keyboard. I'll recommend you keyboards from CM Storm.

CM storm Rapid. Great keyboard, great price.

True, there's nothing wrong with detachable cables. However my experience with this Blackwidow Tourney is that the USB connection is not all that solid. It's a great keyboard as well, my main gripe is when I move it, the keyboard disconnects and reconnects after 5 seconds or so. Annoying during an online gaming match like CS:GO. tongue.gif

Tenkeyless is fine with me, I never used the numpad much anyway. Space saving too, but backlits are something I'm drawn too (probably novelty factor).

The Ninja looks rad cool, and practical if you're the type of guy who has already remembered his QWERTY layout by memory.

filco is for poor ppl. y? coz its affordable and very good quality = less changing/faulty.
rich ppl buy razer and etc which is pure marketing gimmick = affordable + medicore quality = more prone to chg/faulty

I'm looking at comparisons online, seems like many prefer the Ducky keyboards. Any ideas why?

ducky shine series (d9008 or d9087) quality is decent, trust me, you won't go wrong.
unless you prefer legendary kibot without any led mode but legendary quality, go filco

Tough call. I'd love a solid keyboard, but I've never had a backlit keyboard (as I've mentioned in previous posts, it's a novelty factor).

LOL. The backlits are a novelty factor really, my screen is more than bright enough to illuminate my keyboard even in a totally dark room.
