afaik, its possible. pcb mounted has 4 pins (2 mounting pins) and plate mounted is only 2 pins. you can mount plate mounted switches on pcb without the plate, but it just wont be a solid mount... correct me if i'm wrong.. basing all this on guesswork..

This one I can't sure. I randomly plug out and in then it does not work anymore. System keep prompt USB cant be recognized
GH team do not responsible, because this is open source based.
Any problem with the ghpad just replace pcb, not expensive also and it is widely available.
you can just take the file and let manufacture print it out.
