QUOTE(quovadis123 @ Mar 23 2014, 07:56 PM) How about the service for installing mx switches too? I think he is asking about this. Installing mx switches if not confident or feel lazy to do it, u can always hire us to help u doing it . Or find local electronic technician also can. QUOTE(lace @ Mar 23 2014, 10:32 PM) count me in i wan but help me to install it ? QUOTE(lace @ Mar 23 2014, 10:40 PM) wat are the alluminium feets for ? n how much i need it I can help for soldering work and source the mx switches. The alu feet for the bottom of case, to make it have a slope. Only 1 set is needed for 1 acrylic case. You can also choose not to install it, thus the GHpad will be staying flat on surface .

3 pin switches can be mounted on pcb without plate, just it doesnt that secure in place. while 5pin switches mount onto pcb firmly.

QUOTE(kaiserreich @ Apr 4 2014, 12:02 AM) This happens with the stupid removable keyboard plates. Need to use PCB mount switches. They are stupid because everytime you want to remove keys, the key tops pop out. How often do you change keycaps vs changing switches? That's why it is stupid. Indeed .

Some ppl even spoiled the pcb because over-doing at the same hole/points when failed to desolder at one-shot. What I did is leave for 1-2min and work on the other switch/leds first then came back to it again. Some board just harder to desolder, especially leds; coz some board design the diodes/resistors too close to it and need to find appropriate angle for sucker and soldering iron.
