Can any sifus check the pricing from viewnet and idealtech for the same parts, and whether there's anything off about this set:

Processor: i5-4440 rm599
PSU:C.master extreme 525w rm189
Mobo: Asrock b85m-hds rm239
HD: WD 1tb blue rm190
or 2tb rm275
GPU:
1. Giga Gtx650 oc 2gb rm485
2. Leadtek gtx650ti boost and oc 2gb rm559
3. Leadtek gtx 760 2gb rm799
4. Sapphire ati r9 270x oc 2gb rm730
RAM:
Kingston 4gb 1600mhz 4gb rm135 OR
8gb rm255
Casing: Avf hadeso 228 rm129

Other bits:
Keyboard: Logitech mk200 rm45
Monitor Anything rm280

Is there anything wrong with the mobo choice? I'm not entirely sure what that thing is. I just picked a random one whose name I knew. I think all the others at the local shop are Giga. The GPUs are variable depending on what the monitors (RM200~) and everything else costs. I'm looking to spend about RM2.5k max. I'm mostly looking to run some standard games like Europa Universalis IV, Starcraft II and Dota 2 with some Borderlands 2 as well. All of those parts I listed can be found at the local shop near my place. I don't really care about the casing tbh as long as it's cheap. I won't be showing it off.

The parts that I listed are all compatible right? Is that GTX660 better than any of the 4 GPUs I listed? And is the GTX650Ti boost oc decent enough or would the GTX760 be a better choice? hmm.gif As for the monitor I think I saw a cheap 19" Samsung or whatever for under RM200. I'm actually looking for the best bang for the buck without having to travel to KL other than picking up a part or two or not at all if possible because I hate travelling laugh.gif

That i3 is good for gaming ah? Some sellers told me not recommended lah. They suggest i5-4440 hmm.gif If it's good enough for most games then I'll probably consider downgrading to save budget because money is a little tight but I need to replace my dead laptop a.s.a.p.. Though to be honest right now that build you posted is a lot cheaper than what I've got here:

red streak, please reconsider spending a bit more budget on your monitor.  The monitor is the key interface between the PC and you and it will influence how you experience everything in your PC.  It is the same principle with speakers/headphones, keyboard, and mouse.  These are the hardware components that actually "connects" the PC virtual reality with you, so plan some budget and also choose these hardware components carefully.

Also, once you buy a good monitor, speaker/headphones, keyboard, and mouse, then you do not have to upgrade them again for a long time.

Also, a 19" or 20" monitor means 1366x768 resolution, or 1600x1200 resolution, so a GTX760 is overkill.  Maybe a GTX750 or GTX750Ti is more than enough.  GTX660 and GTX650Ti are old hardware, and the GTX750/GTX750Ti is better.

But please consider spending about RM500 to RM700 on a good 23" 1920x1080 monitor, most monitors using IPS panels are good.

I'm not really looking for anything fancy tbh. 1366x768 reso is fine with me. I just want to be able to run Excel and some games. I'll probably get the monitor Cable707 suggested though since it looks good smile.gif

Hi again Sifus. I was gonna order my pc today but it turns out that NavoTech doesn't have half of what they've listed in their brochure so I'm gonna have to go to KL to find the parts I need doh.gif I went through 3 salespeople before one finally noticed that the build I showed them based on their brochure, which they recommended I check out btw, is actually missing half the parts because they don't have any left. No 1TB HDs either. Only 500GB left rclxub.gif I have this one question though, does it matter what motherboard I get? Cuz one of my salespeeps got me a little confused about the VGA/HDMI thingy that I have no idea about (google hasn't helped much either). I just picked up an old monitor that my dad has lying around unused. It's a HP W1907. Could you recommend a new build around that? Budget around RM2200 or preferably less. An additional RM300 extra need to save for ori Windows license. Casing I'll probably grab from NavoTech since it's too bulky to carry around KL back to the bus station. Probably gonna grab a GTX660 if Viewnet or any of the shops have any or maybe just from lingloong since his price is really nice. Worst case scenario if I can't find good prices/parts tomorrow I'll just order everything online from Idealtech xD

Original NavoTech Build

What I was gonna get from NavoTech after input from this thread but can't because half the parts are out of stock:

So I'm gonna have to find the missing bits elsewhere since they said they can build it for me for a small fee (RM30 only).

Yoyoyo, just ordered a new machine from Idealtech. Is it worth getting the windows 7 home premium original COA for RM150? No DVD though and the salesguy says it can only be used to reformat 3 times hmm.gif

faridz, unless you absolutely need Win7, I would recommend Win8 Pro, which you can buy the upgrade version of Win8 Pro for ~RM210, and it installs exactly like a normal Win8 Pro.  If you prefer the Win7 interface, you can boot to desktop, or you can also install apps that will make the Win8 look like Win7.  Win8 Pro will also upgrade for free to Win8.1 Pro, and that brings some more improvements to the OS.  Also you save RM220, which is real money, and you can either pocket the money, or invest it in some other item.

Where can I get the win 8 pro for only RM210? Got CD and can install multiple times ah? hmm.gif
