QUOTE(carpathia @ Jul 29 2014, 10:18 AM) Looking good..... share some reviews please ? ? Finished mine aboit almost 2 months back. Still pending on the decals. Still have alot of unfinished kits. Ver ka. Decals really scare me.... overall, id say its the best Daban kit released. Very solid, not too back heavy, almost perfect snapfitting and good plastic quality. Once youve finished the kit, you'll be very satisfied. Ohh, its pretty HuGE!!!! And here are some of my daban boys.Yup. mine also still in box. just realised the box is also quite heavy , not sure if this is the same compared to the Bandai version ? Attached thumbnail(s) |

QUOTE(carpathia @ Aug 1 2014, 05:24 PM) The stickers do adhere really well but the sizing is a tid bit off. Might wanna consider painting the few grey parts if u dont wanna use the stickers. Handle them with care as they tear easily. Decals so far are great |

QUOTE(Elanges @ Aug 2 2014, 08:31 PM) as the pic above i just use this thinner mixed with Mr.Primer Surface 1:3, Before i try any ratio of primer:thinner on my kits (B* or bootleg) i always test it on spare parts or runners to make sure that its safe to use. I think u exposed the plastic to wet thinner for too long. Your coating is a little too thick. For my bootleg kits i usually jz use the normal primer spray can by mr hobby. no problems so far.Yes i think i over spray the model ( my bad first time airbrush ) now spoil is already spoil... cannot do anything I will pratice to make a thin layer rather than spray much |

QUOTE(Elanges @ Aug 2 2014, 11:09 PM) very nice bro..... since im heart broken with my kampfer.... tonite gonna start my daban MG Nu Ka while waiting for another kampfer. The condition of your kampfer isnt bad beyond repair. With the right amount of super glue and some sanding on all surfaces of the joints, u can still finish the kit. I used to break some leg joints on bootleg kits when i first started, but managed to repair them. Dont gve up on your kit by the way which thinner and primer are you using... i dont want end up with another failure..... is it nessesary to wash the kit before start ? Thanks for the advices: |

QUOTE(onnylam @ Aug 6 2014, 06:17 PM) if snap fitting is not a problem, then the only stress the parts may have is during assembling, and I still never/haven't encountered any breaking/cracking parts. I completely agree. I started off my painted build with bootleg kits as i didnt wanna spend much on B* kits incase something goes wrong. Back then i didnt even use any primer but just normal spray cans(non tamiya ones). And i did not have any problems with cracking. I've always sprayed in mist coats. In my opinion, Daban and McModel plastic quality is alot better than GaoGao's. My GaoGao kits tend to break with ease and some got eaten up by paint =.=the only bootlegs that I'd tried are McModels and Daban's (referring to paint building). Gogo's material may differ, no data to prove though, just speculation.... |

Just finished the Xi gundam. Wasnt as good as expected. Pretty bad weight issues. The DECALS. OMG. Had a freaking difficult time outting them on. The long stripes were HUGE, LONG and they keep getting tangled. Couldve just given dry transfers or marking stickers for some of the decals. However, plastic quality and snap fitting was beyong amazing. Freaking B* level. The end product standing at 21cm tall (abit shorter and smaller then the Nu.Ka) looks great.

This one is without the detachable armor which has similarities to the nu.Attached thumbnail(s) |
