QUOTE(carpathia @ Apr 29 2014, 06:48 PM) if you mean gloss paint, probably not..it will take lots of clear coat on top of gloss color and maybe wet sanding and rubbing compound to get it to shine that well...it took me about 3-4 layers of clear to get my kampfer this shiny...![]() |

Thanks everyone, I really enjoyed building it. Took 2.5 months to finish, but it's all worth it in the end...even won a PG Red Frame for it!
QUOTE(carpathia @ May 6 2014, 09:30 AM) The whole backpack and outer legs are from NG 1/100 Virtue (TTHongli)QUOTE(limfreelance @ May 6 2014, 08:49 AM) fuu very nice & cool. Heavy assault mode. A cape does look good on the tallgeese...for TG2 plain build, i think if put a blue cape on it will be awesome too. Like chief commander. Here's my previous work, the Tallgeese Templar, getting custom decals: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I have a tutorial for making decals here if you're interested: Otaku On A Budget: Custom Waterslide Decals cheers! |

QUOTE(afsarudy @ Jun 23 2014, 04:15 PM) Nice idea.... I see your point there! I put the fan on the top because I want to be able to put the box upright again and put all the stuff inside for storage. If the fan was in the back, you would have the exhaust port protruding from the bottom of the box when you stand it up again. But in my opinion, in a while your LED light will covered by paint since it sits next to air duck . I think it much better if you place the air duck behind of the spray booth. It will improve your painting too coz it will create a straight air flow from inside to outside. And also you'll need to place some cloth so that they can catch the paint before they take the air to the outside. Its hard to explain in words so I draw some diagram for you. [attachmentid=4025475] Nice idea BTW. I just try to improve your version, not re-create it to be mine. |

QUOTE(Elanges @ Jul 1 2014, 01:26 AM) Guys I need some tips here...I'm gonna start to paint a mg model..so usually how u guys start paint ?? Will I build the kit first then paint or paint then build ? It depends on the results you want. Painting before building leaves nubmarks (stress marks/excess plastic where you cut the parts from the runners) , while painting after building can cover these up. The usual sequence is:Can share some tips pls Assemble > Disassemble > Cleaning/Sanding of nubs > Paint parts individually > Assemble |
