i believe daban stein will be better than gaogao sinanju since both of them are from different mold...
look at the comparison picture....

i always thought gaogao and daban is same company even tthongli also

tthongli stopped because of bandai lawsuit, some say daban is higher end line than gaogao just manufacturer is the same...

china community thinks these 2 are the same company because of their weibo account shares the same one...

i also thinks daban better because its a later release than gaogao sinanju...

correct me if im wrong because this kinda of a info i got from the china forum...

For those who wants detailed review, a china guy does this fairly detailed including the parts imperfections and accidents that he faced.

Say, can anyone tell me what's the issue for this kit. It's not that I'm too lazy or anything but it's in chinese and google translate isn't perfect.
*
here you go, i have tried my best hope you read below with the post in sequence

waist issue, front back motion loose, horizontal connector tight
backpack connection also will wear and whitening.
fuel cylinder cap connection require touch up to properly connect
rocket packs connection tight, will leave gap
most connection end will be quite course
transparent cockpit not so transparent
quite a few imprefect edges
not so much of parts has mold shrink
beam saber connector very tight, high risk of snapping the connector
legs side thruster a bit tight need to handle with care
palm armor will kept dropping while holding the rifle and limited movements when holding it
front skirt will require to remove 1st when doing kneeling pose

Eh, you seem to be busy so it's okay. Better finish your backlog first haha.

Okay, I've managed to cut all parts out an quite amazed on how far Daban has come to this level of quality! Compared to red frame astray the details improved a lot in terms of resolution. Surface wise also smooth end a lot but not as good as bandai. Mold shrink also noticeable here and there but only minor ones and the plastic still quite brittle and not as flexible as bandai so might snap some area if not carefully handle.
Haven't assemble yet but quite happy on what I have seen! At least the work load not as bad as previous bootlegs I had.

RMB to MYR exchange rate getting worse
Soon even bootlegs will not be cheap also sad.gif

totally agreed its the worse situation i have seen in my life, rm drop by the hour even seconds!

actually rmb also dropping but we are the champion!

really wanna curse on the thick face bastard that still sits there n watch his usd savings grinning...

1usd to 4.2usd (shud be 3.7)
1rm to 26yen (shud be 32 or more)
1rm to 1.5rmb (shub be 1.8)

gosh really cekik us already since locally also expensive (that day saw jusco sell hyakushiki 2.0 for rm400! could you imagine the markup the did?)

this is the world we live in (at least the corner of the world we live in) just dont hope this drags until civil happens... coz when poorer people beh da han crazy things happen...

Just finished head body and arms portion of my sinanju stein!

So far loving the quality, except for the same easy whitening part (i think its brittle too, need to make sure not to handle it too often else will loosen or snap)

other than that the surface is quite clean! detail rather good but because of copycat of original ver ka that snap fit ngamngam here will have some issue in fitting.
might require some force but will end up whitening (mine navy blue body slightly whitening already)

Finally finished straight build my daban sinanju stein! amazed with the quality, fitting a bit tight but better than previous models.

there are a few downside on my model like the left arm body area doesnt fit and theres a few mm gap, right foot also same problem.

the serious one is the led side thrusters, ori design the holding peg already not so strong on the c clip but here even worse, thrusters fit in very tight and after you assembled it, its pretty much point of no return which when you try to disassemble it the c clip tends to snapped (for me already happened on my left leg, glue it back but clip loosen already)

a few improvements i have observed, cleaner surface, higher resolution on the details and less part imperfections (can count it by your hands). hands also from my opinion is better than dm, i bought dm hands and one finger snapped easily when trying to twist it to correct location (afterwards only i knew dm hands require to soak in warm water before twisting them) for daban no issue on twisting the fingers (with care of course)

downside aside from the points mentioned above, are the stickers and the mold material still brittle and dark color parts easily whitening than ori. (but due to the cost cant complain much on that) so again extra care needed when handling it else would get whitening and joint snapping issue.

that y for painter...need to paint it bfore assembly it.
stein look too bald....may add a Horn for him.
*
actually i fit it just to see overall color scheme design planning from picture really hard to decide, i always do a pre snap fitting to decide color scheme and modding option ideas such as add length to arms or legs or slight scribing panel lines and also decals designing. also there are a lot of area to skip paint especially on the joint areas which will make the fitting tighter if you dont mask them before paint... i hate masking so i straight paint it with it assembled... icon_rolleyes.gif

seemed to me its a bit challenging this time as i feel that i have snap fit them to tight.... sweat.gif

Finished painting my Daban Sazabi ver Ka and DM's Strikes.

Remarks for Daban Sazabi:

Same usual issues like fit, flashes and pin-push marks. Not a fan of the transformation gimmicks, specially the annoying armor parts that swivel under the main armor of the legs and it really annoys me that the ball joint of the ankle connecting the feet keeps popping off. But for 1/3 the price of the bandai kit, daban's sazabi is somewhat worth your money because of the sheer size of the kit plus loads of weapons.
*
cool shading effect on the sazabi! however cant say the same to the strikes though... a bit of overdo for my taste, light shading shud be ok...

Also newbie to china brand and 3p kits, where do you guys usually order your kits from?
