feel very very sad... first time try airbrush and end up in tragedy ..

anyone know what goes wrong ?

The Material i used

Ratio Primer 1 : Thinner 3

Ratio I normally used is 1:2, whether for primer or paints. Sorry for your loss though, that really is a ver nice kit....

Anyway, regarding daban MG Nu Ka, here's my wip so far, remaining the much dreaded fin funnels...

Great kit, snap fitting perfect, plastic feels like ori, just need some trimming here and there, no big issues, recommended thumbup.gif

very nice bro..... since im heart broken with my kampfer.... tonite gonna start my daban MG Nu Ka while waiting for another kampfer.

by the way which thinner and primer are you using... i dont want end up with another failure.....

is it nessesary to wash the kit before start ?

Thanks for the advices:
*
Can't remember them, I'm working rite now, so I can only let u know tomolo morning, pai seh....

Regarding washing the parts, it is recommended to wash them b4 painting, but I'm the lazy type who didn't tongue.gif
Also, I seldom prime my kits, unless I'm changing its colors from darker type to lighter ones.

hope to hear what primer you are using....

Thanks in advance

These are the thinner and primer that I used...

Just noticed that the thinner you used are arcylic based, are you sure you're using the same base for primer? Just wondering though....

Anyway, if you want to paint for the Nu, my advise is to clean the parts 1st, then primer them, especially the outer armor parts, because mine seems to be easily 'scratched' off tongue.gif

Good luck thumbup.gif

Tons of Thanks for posting this  notworthy.gif I've heard that laquer was bad for ABS-plastic...but I didn't know the whole Kämpfer inner-frame would react like this  blink.gif Guess I should use enamal-primer then on this guy....
*
I used lacquer based paints on all my kits, be it ori or bootlegs, without primer, and this never (touch wood) happened to mine b4, so it could be something else hmm.gif

QUOTE(General_Nic @ Aug 6 2014, 12:13 PM)
lacquer on ABS won't 'just' destroy ABS lol
it just create a chemical reaction which causes the ABS to become brittle and weak, not just break without any reasons
if you spray evenly thin coats, then the risk is lower, but the ABS do became weaker than it originally was
under stress it might crack
*
if snap fitting is not a problem, then the only stress the parts may have is during assembling, and I still never/haven't encountered any breaking/cracking parts.
the only bootlegs that I'd tried are McModels and Daban's (referring to paint building). Gogo's material may differ, no data to prove though, just speculation....

hi, i considered that too.
but i do like it very much but slightly above my budget  cry.gif
*
If you're able to fork out an extra RM20~30, you'll get yourself one heck of a kit...
but if budget is your main issue, Daban's Blitz is also OK I guess, reviews are pretty positive, and I personally like the kit a lot icon_rolleyes.gif

not sure what is there to review, a lot of runners right out of the box but all lumped together into 2 plastic bags only sweat.gif
3 boxes of the camouflage armor for the 1st batch premium, very nicely printed and laid in boxes
comes with a huuuugggeee poster which i didn't take out of the box, a manual with list of parts but no assembly manual.. there is, however, a CD rom which i believe is where we will find the assembly guide sweat.gif i haven't taken anything out yet, just opened box to take a look... a loooottt of parts.. i think it'll be a fun build, but i don't want to jump right into it yet..
*
Assembly guide in the cd eh? Won't b quite inconvenient, especially if you don't hv a PC within ur workplace area? Unless u hv a laptop....
Can't wait to get my hands on mine, thanks!!!
