correct me if I am wrong, but that is lacquer thinner?
if yes, B or not, it will be bad against ABS type plastic (hence new MG now highlight that it uses PS plastic frame)
also, do not use self-leveling thinner on ABS plastic, Self leveling means it is premixed with retarder. This will result slower drying time for the lacquer thinner and paint. This is good since it allows the paint to self-level before drying. This is bad for ABS plastic since the plastic is exposed to wet thinner longer.
it's not the leveling thinner that's bad for ABS, it's lacquer itself, but covering ABS parts with a layer of primer would protect it from the corrosion of lacquer
though lacquer is more corrosive, I didn't mean that leveling thinner won't harm ABS, actually any thinner would corrode ABS if exposed for a period of time
the trick is too spray multi thin coats, but that trick applies to all paint and all parts actually
hence his mistake was he sprayed too thick
I've painted on all parts with leveling thinner and never had problems
the only mistake I've done before was when want to wash off old paint, I also soaked ABS parts in water mixed with Dettol solution.
that totally ruined the ABS parts
