Hi guys,

Would like to know for OC, between DFI's N2-M2 Infinity, N Ultra 2 - M2 and Abit NF-M2 nView. Which of these is better for OC ?

Why is like nobody using the ATI chipset or AMD chipset motherboard? it is very rare in market i think can't get it at local market rite? finding the chipset like Xpress 1100. is it good or not? why nobody is using those chipset...all the way is NF.... =.= nvidia chipset 550...570

Most of the time, ATI will be used if you plan to use Crossfire mode. Otherwise, in my opinion, I think the Nvidia's chipset are better solution. I've not review the Xpress 1100 chipsets, so I'll reserve my opinion about it for now. But using the 550 chipset will be best for budget range.

I can get DFI LPICFX3200-T2R/G or CFX3200-M2/G Infinity for you if you want. PM me for the price. haha

But in it's better you get the 550 chipset if you aren't preparing for Crossfire.

I'm planning for Abit NF-M2 nView bulk, but not sure if it's any better than DFI NFII-M2/G Infinity in terms of OC-ability. This is to be used with AMD X2 3600+ and DDR2 667. Any advice ? I need some decision in terms of budget and also how good is the performance of the 6150 chipset compared with 7300GS ?

To soulfly: Can I know whether is it the 6150 similar to Intel's built-in GPU mobo ? In terms of picture quality and also if it's suitable for light gaming ?

Thank you very much in advance for all the advices.

Hi guys,

I'm not sure if this is the correct place to ask or not, but don't want to create another thread in the Q & A to ask simple questions:

1. I just receive word from my supplier that got new AMD FX AM2 chips:

FX70
FX72
FX74

and the price is cheaper than FX 62

The full codes are:

FX70DIBOX
FX72DIBOX
FX74DIBOX

Sure such processor exist ? I thot only FX74 exist ? Saw a preview of it in Hardwarezone.com.my

Kindly enlighten me.

Thank you.

It does exist and the price abit cheaper than FX 6 series.. but right now didn't see yet any shop at LYP selling it.. wink.gif
and i think it is becoz it use socket F(1207FX) not in AM2 Family sweat.gif

AMD FX Family

Performance of it ? How come FX was like exclusive bcome mainstream ?

Previously FX was like to giant over EE series, now cnot compare with C2D la, but FX was like top suddenly now target for mainstream users ? Got new chip to pit against QX ? Can't wait drool.gif

Mine was 0 C yesterday nite, air cond room with Silverstone NT06. ?? Impossible rite ? reading from Core Temp. From the Abiteq, it's 44C, which wan more accurate ?? I forgot to check the bios temp.

Nice result there. Is that stable result ?

Oh, another thing is, mind to tell me about that soft ware that u using to show the temp and measurement of the voltages ? Kinda noob in software side. Thanks in advance. notworthy.gif icon_rolleyes.gif

Ur everest reports the temp still near 0C ? Mine is around 2-3 b4 OC. rclxub.gif

ehehehe, i'm abit outdated on this thread, will read back to see if u guys found any solution to it yet or not.

So far, the AMD X2 is very stable now, will try to OC soon.

So, i should use CPU-Z(Specs), Super Pi 1M(for memory), Everest(for temps) and wat else I should use to ensure that the OC is successful ? I'm kinda noob with memtest or prime. Can let me know wat's the name of the software and version, so that I'll go check on google lo. hehe

Thanks to all the help offered.

Hi guys,

I'll be trying my hands on OC the X2 3600+ soon. But, just to clarify some stuffs, need u guys wan advice here abit:

1. Basically, simple OC by changing the CPU frequency up to it's limit before it needs to increase the Voltage ?

2. As CPU frequency increases, memory frequency will increase too. So does the timing values, which means loose timings, and it's won't be able to complete super Pi as fast as 4-4-4-12 timings ? Voltage will need to be increase to reduce the timing at higher frequency , correct ?

3. The hypertransport speed will also increase, but should be kept below 1GHz, izzit ?

hmmm wat else did I missed out ?

All the time I left those timings within the Auto settings, so, thats y it's increasing I suppose. But I know the RAMs that I using can easily reach DDR2 1000MHz at 5-5-5-15 timing at 1.9V on a C2D rig. So, now the concern is how far the brisbane can push lo.

I'll try to increase the CPU frequency(aka HTT ?) first, then oni c if the brisbane can reach how high without the need for increase in volts 1st.

Then, if I want to go beyond stock voltages, besides the CPU voltages, what other voltage that I can fiddle with ? DRAM volts I know can play but it's to increase the RAM's speed when it hits the limit. Any other stuffs to tweak ?

alrite -pws-, wish u all the best in ur exams 1st, i'll post my results here once I start to OC the brisbane. Will see if can match ur speed or not , hehehe thumbup.gif icon_rolleyes.gif

almost similar problem here... only that mine is stucked at 280.

currently flashed to earlier bios (9/1/2007) ... it does 285 currently.

and i agree.... with clockgen it can go as high as possible,

Hi,

Ur system is using the D9 chips with the Athlon, just as ur sig says ?

Will my D9 be able to reach 280 also ? Wonder will my bulk brisbane be able to reach 3GHz like -pWs- ? hmmm laugh.gif

need a board that can go more than 2.1v lar haha  tongue.gif

drool.gif Nice results. The D9 on the Ballistix is really awesome man.

Can change any jumper to get more than 2.1V ?
