QUOTE(syarat @ Nov 16 2006, 05:55 PM) even after u are using dfi? gosh. have soulfly take care of ur rig la, maybe he can work on something. After some horrendous tweaking with my senior.. Manage to get it pass 280HTT. I might have screwed up the timings for tras and trc. ![]() RAM limiting me now I guess. They always stuck at slightly higher then this. Maybe I should grab some better rams. urgh. But hey good news.. The motherboard can do waaayy more then 320HTT. Just tried that earlier. The Bigtyphoon VX is definitely one top performer.
Forget about the Blue Orb two. Better spend the money on another cooler unless you're into bling bling. |

I echo that. The toughpower series are actually very good, and very cheap for it's performance. Suprisingly, there's this review about them.
http://www.pureoverclock.com/article638.html Only a short one, but other reviews from the net sounds the same thing as well, the toughpower series are very good for it's price. You'd need to get a seperated AM2 bracket for the Thermalright series unless I am mistaken, and no I don't think they're bundled with a fan. You can choose a fan which suits your needs though. Else, I suggest the Scythe Infinity. Irregardless, the BTVX performs quite well also. Seems like you know the stuffs you're buying eh. This post has been edited by Enigmatic: Dec 3 2006, 07:06 PM |

I have a feeling I got trash.
Doing 1.525v to keep my x2 3800 65w stable on 2.4. Can't even do well on 2.5Ghz. Ugh. Burning in.. Too much voltage there.. |

Well I seriously don't mind getting mine this soon, despite the promising price cuts all all those things cause don't wanna get myself another headache over upgrading later.
Furthermore, I am moving to my university campus soon *I hope*, gonna get myself away from KL quite soon. Finding a reason of purchase soully? PS: Doing a full migration? AM2 now does support AM2+ but not full features lo... Added on April 1, 2007, 6:48 pmLOL! They ain't bringing in the brisbane for Compuzone yet. Just checked around lowyat today. Perhaps someone have any other sources to share? This post has been edited by Enigmatic: Apr 1 2007, 06:48 PM |

QUOTE(young_soul @ Apr 11 2007, 02:06 AM) I have a question...I was suppose to get an There is the x2 3600 windsor and x2 3600 brisbane.. Brisbane uses 65nm, rated at 65w. x2 3600 windsor also has it's 65w varient, but at 90nm. And the thing is the windsor comes with 256kb x2 cache, brisbane one comes with 512kb x2 cache.AMD X2 AM2 3600+ with 65nm (EE version coz its the only one listed in the AMD website) and 512MB*2 level 2 cache...at least that's what the AMD website said. But after I run CPU-Z...it showed me this: Can someone tell me why the pic says my technology is 65nm, level 2 cache is 256MBX2 instead of 512MBX2 and most of all...I thought AMD X2 is running on 2000MHz HT? Says here 800+MHz So you got the windsor, normal x2 3600 at 65w, 90nm. |

LOL! pws.. 9~11... geng man your cooler. Using what cooler. LOL~
By the way probably the bios still very buggy for 65nm la. Just I find it damn irony. The chip is produced during year 2005, yet being sold at around this time only. I even saw windsors which are being produced at year 2006 before. Hmm... What the heck is AMD doing. PS: As far as I heard the Freezer64 is quite od. Why duwaNNA try out the HyperTX AMD? I think soulfly wan recommending it all around. Just let us know your budget and we will start pummeling you with recommendations. Higher latencies might be one of the reasons why it overclocks quite good right?
Hey pws.. sorry man don't get to online often. Yea my 9.5multi works just fine, doing 2.9Ghz (1.4v) at the moment, priming and burning in abit. Too bad I don't have a good cooler. Ish. Wanna try 3.0Ghz today. If I can't might be due to the multi lo. By the way nice results there, but voltage abit high. |
