Guys..

as always been told.. while Ocing should disable the CnQ...
let say an Oced cpu that can still manage to use default voltage..
is there will give a problem if we enable the CnQ?

thinking of Oced cpu is not always in load.. and to meet energy efficiency..

I OC my orleans to 2.6 and have CnQ enabled most of the time (power savings set to portable/laptop or minimal). I only switch it off when playing games. I have never ever experienced any problems with it at all. I like it cos when surfing or emailing, I don't need all that power and my idle temps drop from about 37/38C to 33C or lower. maybe each person's exp is diff depending on their hardware? only way for you to find out is to try it yourself. here's a snapshot of cpuz while CNQ is enabled...
thanks..
will try later.. now i'm in burn in process, try to decrease the voltage..

oc page for sempron users..
http://eclipseoc.com/index.php?id=3,67,0,0,1,0

for M2N-E users using OCZ ram maybe similar timing..

LOL... you can screw that Smart Guardian reading, the CPU temp is over-reported by 11 to 12ºC! That's why I've included Core Temp reading on the screenshot too.
Anyways, X2 is really hot especially when you overclock it. My 3000+ Orleans @ 3GHz hovers around 45º (Core Temp) only, even when I pumped 1.65V to it. X2 seems to be about 10ºC hotter... It also puts a lot of stress on PWM too.  rolleyes.gif
*
if i'm doing 2.5ghz cpu temp hit 62C but if refer the speedfan core temp only 52C... which one to take?
if the core can stand 65C.. mine should can push more.. sweat.gif

for daily usage (for me ofcourse) i prefer not to OC very high.. i feel no much different in the real world.. unless u really need that 1% speed and compromise with other things like mobo, ram dying.. spend more money for better cooler.. etc..

may i ask a question? if the oc my rig then if wan down clock to normal setting, jus load the default setting from the board then all back to normal??
*
load default not only set ur oc setting.. it's load to factory setting..
mean all the other option that disable/enable by default will be loaded..
ie: sound, logo, display etc disable or enable by default... depends on mobo..

I think ATE has DFI

thanks, will look there..

if ur chip capable doing >800 then ok.. i've tried mine until 820 only.. and must use 2T.. using 533 divider for stability and tight the timing more better coz can do 1T..

try 1.4v then.. or even 1.45v.. on ur own risk ya..
i've tried mine till 1.5v still ok.. make sure ur temp not exceed 70C at load..

now i set mine 2500Mhz with 1.45v... coz 1.4v not very stable for me..

8tvt..ur still using M2N-E right??
don't think to change that mobo..??
poor 1.95vdimm really holding my ddr2 800..
coz 800 using minimum vdimm 1.95..

been thinking to change to 570infinty..
coz nF ultra II-m2 don't support 800..isit right??
*
actually if i'm using HP ram maybe i'm regret.. normal KVR not make any diff if mobo can supply more voltage.. i've tried until 820..
tight timing would be good for me...

Dude, running 2 clients of SuperPI onli can show ur system stability smile.gif
It is because 3800++ is dual core
*
never heard about it.. coz superPI test for ram..
and again we still donno it's using different core if we start with 2 clients..
if prime make sense.. but better use dual core version..

ask them to make dually version then.. lol

http://www.hexus.net/content/item.php?item=6150&page=5
the link said abit KN9 SLI - nForce 570 SLI got prob with RAM..
is it becoz NF570?
ironic.. maybe i've observe somewhere.. the board using NF570 seems got same problem...
coz M2N-E also facing the same prob.. but fix after bios update...
if true.. NF570 should be evaded..

i hv tried to overclock over last nite
i just put mine FSB to 230 Mhz with 533 ram divider with default speed 4-4-4-12-16  1T...no problem with memtest and super pi1m
however, i found that the 3Dmark05 in default setting results in almost the same marking with my previous system (3Dmark 5980, CPUmark 6250)  which is at totally default..

So, i tried with 667 at default 5-5-5-15-21..1T.errors with memtest..
so i raised my Vdimm +0.025V...then it passed the memtest..
however, i found out that i cannot enter windows normally after startup,..so i tried to raised Chipset Voltage, CPU volatage from 1.2 to 1.35V..but it is still failed..

any clue about this problem??
*
3dm05/06 focus on gpu..
did u set ur mul htt to 4x?
chipset voltage no need to touch...
ram set to 1.9v... cpu 1.37..
