lol did u refer the setting i gave earlier.. maybe vcpu not supply right... and again what's base ram u put? 533?
250*10 = 2500ghz (cpu speed)
DDR base 533: 2500/8 = 312.5 ~ 625DDR
DDR base 667: 2500/6 = 416.6 ~ 833DDR (sure ur ram not capable do this with v1.9v)
divider are vary u need to refer the chart that supply by soulfly.. AM2 oc different than s939 n s754..

i think we need >2.2v to get 800DDR.. u try put 533 base drr first... and vdimm auto.. the cpu u can increase until 1.5.. i've tried before but the temp quite high.. need better cooler to attempt more..
other thing is.. normally X2 3800+ can max 2.6.. so 250fsb should near the ceiling.. and it's par to 5000+.. just try it slowly..

Anybody here have tried oc x2 3800+? I'm tried push to 2700mhz but it's doesn't cannot boot even put high vcore. i've manage to get 2500mhz only.. cpu limit la.. normal for x2 maybe..

QUOTE(ikan_semilang @ Aug 24 2006, 06:42 PM) What multiplier u using? x9 or X10? cpu mul=10x htt mul=4 memory divider = 533 stable stress at 245fsb.. don't want stress further coz temp 58c already.. maybe after get good cooler.. i also found that if more 250fsb.. increasing vcpu still doesn't help.. try to study first since bios not really good.. thinking to revert back the bios coz latest bios lock cpu mul.. prepairing oc setting now.. increase slowly fsb by fsb.. current setting : fsb : 222 cpu mul : 10x htt mul : 4 vcore : 1.33 vdimm : 1.9 ddr base : 667 (740) timing : 4-4-4-12-1T (dual channel) htt mul 5 only success 220 and below... Cyrus2ku should stress with 2 copies for dual core.. This post has been edited by 8tvt: Aug 25 2006, 11:46 AM

QUOTE(tachlio @ Aug 28 2006, 11:28 AM) All Asus M2N-E did you all really check your Vdimm like this?? http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=104083that link has been posted before.. if u check this.. http://www.vr-zone.com/index.php?i=3738it mentioned about 'pencil', i'm not very clear how to do it.. just connect the point? pencil trick maybe do not need solder.. anyone has clearer guideline.. other thing is not really sure what vdimm been set after pencil it.. @tachlio Asus already released 0304 bios.. claimed solving memory compatibility.. donno solve the vdimm prob or not.. not try yet.. have u try it? ftp://dlsvr01.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/socket...N-E/M2NE304.zipThis post has been edited by 8tvt: Aug 28 2006, 12:22 PM

QUOTE(soulfly @ Aug 28 2006, 03:29 PM) I thought M2N-E only have RAM issue... not Vdimm issue. not for asus but for their users.. coz asus also make a mistake or mistakenly put the quote http://www.asus.com.tw/products4.aspx?l1=3...181&modelmenu=1QUOTE Precision Tweaker It offers ways to raise system performance inch-by-inch and step-by-step to achieve maximum performance! This is about getting the most out of your machine and taking pride in your customized computer. * vDIMM - Take control of how much power is going into the memory modules. ASUS gives you 15-step voltage control to the DIMM * vCore - Find out "exactly" how much power your CPU needs. Fine-tune it with 0.0125 volts at a time! * SFS (Stepless Frequency Selection) allows - FSB tuning from 200MHz up to 400MHz at 1MHz increment - PCI Express frequency tuning from 100MHz up to 200MHz at 1MHz increment the 15-step voltage control is doesn't exist.. infact away from 5.. x-bit claimed new asus board (M2N-E n even SLI) is not a good oc mobo.. http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/mainboard...force570_7.htmlQUOTE The mainboard began to overclock the CPU eventually, but the problem with restarting didn't vanish. I tried to achieve stability at 325MHz, but to no effect. The system would issue a BSOD right after I launched S&M. The system was not stable at 320MHz, either, even though I had to wait for the BSOD for a while. The M2N-SLI Deluxe and M2N-E mainboards being almost identical, it was possible to try to use the senior model's BIOS in the M2N-E. I just swapped their BIOS chips, which turned to be identical, and enjoyed all the BIOS options of the M2N-SLI Deluxe on my M2N-E. Well, it might have made sense if the M2N-SLI Deluxe were an overclocking miracle. I had no improvements whatsoever because both the mainboards were no good at overclocking. even can swap M2N-E bios chip with the SLi.. the oc potential still the same..but the think is.. >300fsb still not a good mobo? i never thought it's chipset problem.. just think bad bios programming..

2600/8=325 ~ 650DDR.. not even need 2.0v should 1.8v.. try 255 first la..
currently i study my rig setting... if more 250fsb.. with 3x htt mul the ram need more voltage.. cpu mul set as 9 or 8.. weird even by calculation the ram not more than 667 (default) but cpu still can use default or no more than 1.4v...
so i decided maybe mem divider controller got conflict or cpu it self not really great on downward multiplier... or maybe the mobo prob..
currently i set 250fsb with 10x.. HTT Mul=4 vCpu=1.4
250x10=2500
2500/8=312.5 ~ 625DDR @1.8v 4-4-4-12 1T..
last night just stress about 1 hour.. will try to test with more fsb..

ur ram limiting u.. try resetting back.. maybe ur case like mine.. requires vdimm more or something... or even cpu reach the limit..
u try prime using cpu stress first.. can surpase 5 minutes or not..

in their site maybe they are stating like that.. but i think DFI support 800ddr... plz also notice only X2 AM2 support full DDR800 not single core AM2..

ive stressed 2.52g not more than 1 hour coz the temp goes over 60C.. still on stock cooler.. don't want to stress more.. with 1.4v still rock stable.. now only using 2.5g with 250fsb.. below are the setting that i manage to try.. others can refer to the chart..

Nice... no ler.. share the knowlegde only.. infact ppl see M2N-E board is not good.. at least they can see the result.. just to see what others setting too.. i'm not playing with ram timing just yet.. only fix on the best solution at the moment.. 4cl for the KVR is pretty well i think..

QUOTE(cloudwan @ Sep 8 2006, 10:48 AM) It seems that my mobo isnt really that o/c friendly... I cant seem to find multiplier adjustment for the HTT.... To o/c stabily i have to throttle my HT to 200mhz... refer my screenshot... When i change the HTT multiplier using amdtweaker it could not restart... Haihhhh... So sayang.... Kinda sad coz the mobo can support vdimm up till 2.40v.... Haihhhh... Muahahahhaa.. haha.. atleast can get 667 ddr to climb up untill 800.. pretty good... @perswis normally prefered ram will goes for corsair.. but in term of the price maybe kingston cheap a bit.. but still perform good.. RMA also not a big problem like patriot.. for mobo why don't u take dfi? http://www.pcmoddingmy.com/e107_plugins/co...p?content.377.2got 2 ide socket there..and ocing board for sure.. and even can be modded to SLI.. HTT seems not affect the result.. in earlier stage even put 1x also just the same.. only don't exceed 1020 like that..
maybe budget MSI mobo automatically set for stable function.. so good for the beginers..
32m super pi also have a good result on 2.4g... so it's ok..
