Hi all,

i plan to upgrade my laptop part, actually i have no idea which should i upgrade 1st..

below is my list;
1) HDD with 7200rpm (market only have 500GB for laptop)?
2) 1TB SSHD with 5400rpm (Seagate, Toshiba or any other brand in Malaysia))?
3) 8GB to 16GB RAM with 1600MHz..

Reason: i need speed for PhotoShop and Video editing for rendering speed..

my laptop specification:
ASUS N56V Notebook PC
1) W7 64bits;
2) i7 - 3630QM, 2.4GHz;
3) 2 x 4GB DDR3 1600MHz / max to 16GB DDR3@2x8GB;
4) 1TB HDD, 5400rpm;
5) NVIDIA GeForce GT, 635M@2GB;

Thank you.... rclxms.gif

Upgrading to a faster HDD or SSD will decrease file load times, pretty good if you are handling large amount of photos . But I suppose its best to save and upgrade straight to a full SSD (larger capacity the better since Photoshop will perform better with more space) rather than just a 7200rpm HDD; or get an mSATA SSD (provided your notebook supports it) and keep your original 1TB HDD

8GB RAM is already pretty good, unless if you intend on running video + photoediting at the same time, in addition to all the other common programs icon_rolleyes.gif

ok, so now remain 8GB, just aim to upgrade SSHD or SSD or mSATA SSD..i just wondering that SSD can help to shorten video rendering time or not hmm.gif hmm.gif ..i prefer to choose big capacity instead of low capacity, currently market price for SSD 512GB really burn my wallet, SSD 256GB not enough space... sweat.gif
