playing commonwealth campaigns now... machines + reload ability is so fun

gonna update this thread a bit..

i just bought Golden Realms while it is on sales this weekend.

gotta say worth every cent.. with this DLC it has rekindled my interest in the game.

You gotta wait REALLLY long then if you're looking forward to an all-in-one GOTY type of package for 75% off... as game is still in active development/patching/upgrade/expansion.

Devs are putting a lot of time and not giving up on this one so soon. Seems like a last installment to me thus is why they're so serious. They had a few hardcore investors backing up the game too, and lastly the game sells well globally especially in Europe and US.

Normal discounts like 50% off the core game and DLC is more likely within this 1-2 years.. Another main expansion the likes of AoW2: Shadow Magic will be in the horizon too... who knows maybe 2 expansions?

Naga race is really hardcore.. LOVE the art and design for them. Like some serpents on testosterone.

Halflings are NEVER to be underestimated.. their luck rolls are crazy... tho they have that 20% physical weakness, they can dodge attacks totally once that luck procs! and even deal back critical damage due to luck!

get AoW3 la.. seldom have sales weh..

once u bored with those games you're playing then switch to AoW3 ... u cant be focusing on 1 game for 50 hours straight...

for me i take turns play games in my lists.. then i won't so bored/sien.. once feel sien again then switch.

yeah sadly it could be the last.

guess sales not doing as well for them.

really hope the next DLC/expansion will help to increase ppl's interest much more towards the game.

Steam is cheaper than any other due to being priced at MYR.

even when Steam doesn't have sales it's still sometimes cheaper to buy there than at a site e.g. GOG where there's sales.. the price difference is that huge. Steam purposely give cheaper prices to "poorer" countries to stimulate sales there.. but yea it does comes with a price where a lot of such games will be region locked (only can play in SE Asia).

if you plan to get AoW3, wait till April 11th launch of the new DLC... I can confirm will have sales that time.. that's what happened when the Halfling DLC came out.. got sales for all of AoW3 main game + the new DLC itself.

my review so far about the DLC :

playing the new campaign now as Frostling Undead. Very new type of playstyle and mechanics that adds so much more flavour to the game. Units such as beloved Frost Queens, Yetis, Ice Scalpers.. and new ones such as Banshees! (omg I so so love this new unit).. New spells and empire upgrades too! Such as corrupting mana nodes to become Undead nodes.. changing entire city to an Undead city..

There's also new artifacts (already obtained 2 of them).. and cosmic happenings! just got one where it says "Blood Moon - +3 melee attack for all units for 4 turns" (with the entire landscape sort of drenched in red aura here and there.. just epic!

performance wise the game has improved much more as well.. prev i couldn't play on "high" settings without some sort of lagginess (blame the SSAO). This time even on that my desktop is able to support nicely.

gonna update this post later if I do bump with more new features in the game.

I also notice difficulty sort of went up.. playing at Easy also keep need to wrestle back my towns.. @@ AI don't turtle up anymore giving a sufficient challenge even at the lowest difficulty.

aiya u buy but dont play also...

if finish the base game campaigns d then this Eternal Lord's will be a higher challenge.. got 3 new endings to the dlc campaign somemore.

once i done the campaigns will try custom/random maps.. since most of the races is out liao...

just finish Undead Frostlings 1 campaign.. not easy lor. Kena attack left right center.. need keep defend and push back till kill 2 leaders.. then slowly farm all the artifacts on the map.. my heroes strong now.. 2nd and 3rd campaign should be easier later i'll post screenshots of what they've become.

disable SSAO. Or set it to low.. that setting will take up a lot of resources since there's so much graphics going on on the screen.
