With the amount of spam already in there, I shudder to think what it'll become if we enable post counts. >_<
But honestly (and seriously) though, why do you want it enabled? |

QUOTE(jack_sparrow85 @ Aug 1 2006, 07:49 PM) because my dear, post count in garage sales can makes a newbie becomes a super instant senior members in instant. and some conman uses this way to build their conman #1 strategy, to con unsuspected forummers and then walla...and there will be a lot people who will just enter ppl thread without buying but just asking nonsense question and do not have the intention to buy and 1 post count for 1 thread ..imagine if he enter 30 thread in 1 time, and post count xx+30 in 1 time? o.O This post has been edited by stevanistelrooy: Aug 1 2006, 08:15 PM |

QUOTE(Mgsrulz @ Aug 1 2006, 11:20 PM) some people still dont use it,and the place isnt meant to discuss anything,anyway...it's only for sales purposes then what is the purpose of having this compulsary rule ?1. Bumping MUST be done using the 'bump button'. A 'bump' post will result in an immediate 3 day suspension. The bump button is located towards the bottom (next to "fast reply") and looks like this . To bump your topic, simply click on this button. |

If you come across bumping infringements, then report it (click the Report button).
Strawberrybaby: Compliance of the bump button is enforced as it brings maximal benefit to all parties involved (the forum, the seller, the other sellers, and the buyers) when everyone uses it. |

QUOTE(wKkaY @ Aug 2 2006, 12:03 AM) If you come across bumping infringements, then report it (click the Report button). Yeah ... I think the "BUMP" button also reduce the site resource or something like that right ? So, i think it would be great if everyone could co-op and use that function instead of simply post a "BUMP" Strawberrybaby: Compliance of the bump button is enforced as it brings maximal benefit to all parties involved (the forum, the seller, the other sellers, and the buyers) when everyone uses it. |

Back to the topic, I think enabling post counts for hobbies forum is justifiable. But is it that important anyway?
I think the reason why the forum was made post count-disabled was because it is not really tech-related (similar situation to Travel and Living, Girls Club forums...you can see quite a lot people posting constructively there, too) |

Then a long term seller there.. maybe from year 2003.. now alraedy had 10,000+ posts by just bumping.. 1 count per day.. QUOTE(Strawberrybaby @ Aug 1 2006, 11:25 PM) then what is the purpose of having this compulsary rule ? Some people dun have to bump his/her thread.. so, they dun use the button.. let say today got people ask me question about handphone. i answered the question ( means i bring up my post edi ).. no need to use bump anymore..1.
