My apartment unit is near the staircase, the entrance door is a fire door with no peephole, I feel uncomfortable if not able to see things outside... but dont feel like want to install a cctv there... what can i do so that i can see things outside without changing the door?

Make a peep hole !! drilling the door don't change the property of the door.

try some of the electronic one.

are you sure about that? as what i heard from some ppl this kind of door cannot drill and make peephole wan....

Some people, who is that some people? You heard directly from them?

the reno contractor and the apartment mgmt staff...

and i did search online and most results tell me cannot drill hole...

Really depend the local management. My office they allow, and I have just drill and installed one.

If can't, install CCTV loh, is not expensive.

Maybe can get those peephole that is certified for Firedoor usage.

apply some logic ... there is gap under your door, there is gap on top of the door ...
so what is another hole in the middle of your door going to do ?

if you are dealing with air tight situation then drilling a hole would be a problem.

even you install a CCVT, you still need to drill a hole somewhere for the cable to pass ...
what the difference ... end of the day a hole need to be drill somewhere.
