From the user manual of D-Link DIR 850 L, I dont think it can support Unifi by default, unless you are using the unifi supplied router as a bridge.

There's separate piece of paper included inside on how to set it for unifi. Followed it to the letter n won't work.
By ur 2nd statement does it means from modem to supplied router then to dir 850l ?
Sorry not to tech savvy :(

If you have set according to the manual but does not work.
You may have to check with Dlink themselves.

question: How did you "reset the PPOE password"?

did you make a new password?

thanks for your help. been trying for two days but not connecting to the net. the wi-fi signal is strong tho' - the network says "busy" and then disconnected.

by calling unifi hotline while i configure the settings. so far so good, signal is way better than unifi oem wifi router.

thanks. just did the same, called the hotline and they gave me the real unifi password, the one used to do the initial setup (not the wireless access used daily). will set the D-Link with this new info tomorrow.

terima kasih for the tip.

Dear all, I have just bought the same model from Low Yatt. Dissapointed that it could not connect. Run through with Unifi support and reset password etc and still couldnt work. The firmare is 1.10 SG. Can any help advise if this router supports Unifi. The low yatt guys argue that it could work at their home and i am very angry as they cannot proof it to me as low Yatt doesnt have unifi connection to show me. if they cannot solve, they better let me exchange asus or others. then which will actually work? i cannot afford to go back so many times, wasting time and money. If someone here manage to connect, would appreciate if you could guide me step by step. Tq so much.

i cant remember what firmware mine was but if the package comes with unifi badge it should be able to connect. Just follow the written instruction and call unifi hotline to reset ur PPPOE password. so far so good.

Which LAN port did you connect the router to? Take a picture or something?

Yesterday I help my friend setup his Unifi with the Dlink DIR-850L.

Luckily I found this thread as there is NO WAY it can be setup with the firmware 1.22.

We tried manual internet setup, auto setup everything but the DSL light will not go online.

Found this thread and went to Dlink website to downgrade the firmware to 1.09 SG and follow the instructions as provided by nomar and immediately it goes online.
