As a customer you have the power and right to insist. If you are unsure, get a reputable brand like Vcool or raytech.

done 1k service. initially was told syntium 800 can go for 10k, mane tau reach there told me only can last for 5k.

finally settle for 3000 since the sc do not carry 1000.

sakit hati..

3000 is theoretically better than 1000. I would rather get Syntium 800 (semi synthetic) than Syntium 1000 even though it's fully syn.

guys, preve or suprima, looking between them for my wife...

All depends on your need. Preve and SS are basically the same car, one is sedan for executive look, one is hatchback for sporty look.

QUOTE(blaze91 @ Jun 8 2014, 06:10 PM)
yes bro i do know that but i believe i will get the car within this week so wana know what should i check on in other then things posted in 1st page. icon_question.gif

Basically 99% already stated in the first page. Getting anxious and nervous about receiving your first car huh?

I think it might be a misinterpretation, I believe it must be 3 years warranty (+2).

I don't think you should just accept what they give you, higher grade oil is definitely better.

My previous experience is it can last at least 60k..

I can't recall which forum I read before n the best to protect turbo engine better frequently change engine oil. I hate to visit SC n time waiting is killing me..  But i have no choice I'm with cfe engine so need go for semi oil(5k) even the full synthetic spec last for 10k but it will somehow not recommended. I'm not sure my understanding correct or not else Pls educate me.  notworthy.gif

To me, Proton engineers know better than third party engineer. If the manual recommends every 10k interval with fully synthetic, then so be it. Even if remotely they are wrong, at least we are still within the boundary of the warranty coverage.

Alright thx. Well will go for full synthetic then after 5k mileage. Btw u remind me the wrong concept XR1 offer at cfe engine is by SA but not Proton engineer. I should place some confident level to Proton engineer instead.  tongue.gif
*
Yes, the X1R cases were because of some SCs wanted to get more money from customers. I've visited many SCs, many sticked to what is essential, but some went beyond than that to include things like X1R and magnetrap in their package, citing them as 'recommended by Proton'.

but COSE give me Semi Syn with every 10k intervals...i am quite curious with that~
*
Nothing wrong with that, the stated mileage is within the absolute safe conditions that both the EO and engine manufacturers recommend. I used semi oil and drove more than 12k mileage on an old car, there was no problem.

Always go for specific recommendation of a product.

Free service is only for labor costs of normal service and not items, please take note laugh.gif The amount you can save from this free labor is around RM40 and for three first visits and within X year(s).

wait.... current promotion with free 3 years service is actually only free labour fees? if 1 year average drive 20k, 3 years i will be service for 60k :

1k
5k
10k
20k ~ 60k, total 8 tmes service how much i can save on?
*
Yes only on labor costs, no manufacturer will cover all expenses including consumables like engine oil, filter etc. You can count yourself, standard service labor cost is around RM 40.

The spare parts, if found to be defective not caused by user or normal wear & tear, will be covered under warranty. Some 5 years, some 3 years in Preve case.

Perodua and Preve are totally in different segment. small and fuel saving, go for Perodua (or even a Saga SV which is much safer than the top spec MYVI), if you look for safety, space, practicality, go for Preve.. i believe even Preve comes with free service.
*
Mine comes with 3 times free service within one year.

free service cover  Engine oil & oil filter la bro ,  dont say cover only labour  cry.gif

Not in my case, only cover labor. I believe those who bought their cars in the same period as me (2013) also only got free labor.

And that also applies to my other cars flex.gif

guys...i heard that the Preve Executive model failed to go Tian Hou Temple is it true?

Might be true in the sense referring to that particular case, but the real factor may only be known by the complainant. I've seen Exec Auto going up Genting and Bukit Tinggi, Janda Baik just like any other car without problem laugh.gif
