Yes, that's why I'm consider and compare with Suprima S. Just the cons, the plastics gear knob. IMO Preve dashboard panel looks more exclusive compared to Suprima S. What about you guys?

does preve premium comes with reverse sensor or cam?
*
Suprima is more towards the "Sport" styling

Just got my car 2 weeks ago, Preve CFE ANCAP 2014, 2.5k discount.

First week
- Nappa leather seat (2.5k)
- 85% highway + 15% kampung => 8.7L/100km (RM 100 = first 550km)

Second week
- Reverse camera (RM 320)
- 100% city drive => 12.8L/100km (still driving) - mileage about 680 now.

Next will buy some small accessories, coil mat, trunk tray.. and probably get new HU after 2 years, was waiting to see if there's any aftermarket Apple Carplay during that time.
*
How did you measure?

Base on SID or "the best practice" ... Input of Petrol (L) vs Distance (KM)

I would guess that would be around RM700- RM1000. Plugs only would cost you RM200+ outside SC  smile.gif
*
It would cost RM400 at SC, currently able to get around RM280 due to promotion.

Outside SC I still not check but seems like it's very hard to get the size for NGK ILKAR7G7.....

And warranty void also another concern if you do not purchase from SC.

2013 ANCAP 6 airbags - RM5500.00 discount, good price?

My facebook page reported car loan interest rate will be increase soon, so, should I wait, I believe car sales will drop, then can get better discount later?
*
Get the 2014 year mate... the difference is minimal and much worth it... and you probably won't get your desired colour...

Hi, hope someone can help a noob here with 1st time car buying tongue.gif

So I've got a deal with an SA for CFE for RM70k. Downpayment RM10k.

I'm a bit confused by how the loan is calculated. The SA told me the formula to calculate it is RM60k (loan) * 2.9% (interest) * 7 (years) + RM60k / 84 (months) which brings the monthly payment to RM859.

Is this correct? What I want to know is why he has to x 7 (years)?
*
To be exact

2.9% interest is base on p.a (per annum)..

Hence the x7

Real nice....
I saw this posted in Prevoc.. It's semi leather only right?

This is likely the better thing to upgrade than BK in my opinion..
It changes the feeling towards the car while you're driving...

any comment to share?

according to my plan, I'd like to buy preve MT by next half year of 2014 or even end of the year.
But recently heard that the interest rate is going to increase.

wonder does it save more if I buy the car now?

p/s: If I buy it now, I think mostly I will not use the car frequently. biggrin.gif

Thanks for any others comment notworthy.gif
*
Have to see by how much difference the interest rate be...

But if let's say 2.80 vs 3.00 is minimal...

Car value does depreciate from time to time.. even it's still within the same year but if you don't need it now, then it's better to buy it later..
You can treat as if you have bought now, save the installment money and convert them to downpayment when you are about to buy it. This way you save more $$$ compare to buying now with lower interest.

Hope that helps.

thanks for sharing bro.
I heard that the increase will be at least 0.5% and shake my mind that scare spent on interest but forgot smt call depreciation.
*
If let's say you can get 2.70%, an increase of 0.50% will make it 3.20%

Let's do some mathematical calculation if you will save let's say if you delay by 12 months later.

- Assume you purchase Preve Exec
- Dp 10%, Loan Amount put it 54,000 @ 2.7%
- Come out to monthly installment RM764.36
- Take RM 764.36 x 12 months and use this money to dump into as "Downpayment" --Initial 10% + RM 9000 (assuming you are discipline and consistent enough)
- So despite the extra 0.5% it seems you are still paying lesser interest
- Of course you need to factor into other things... such as depreciation ... improved model.... possibility of facelift with same pricing etc....

Hi guys!

Is it normal for a Preve Executive's FC (fuel consumption) to go around 180-210km for RM50 ?

This 180-210km is noted right when it drops to 1 bar of fuel indication. (Right when the 2nd bar disappears)

Mainly City Drive, stop-go traffic.
*
Please don't use bar to measure fuel consumption.. It's largely inaccurate and misleading.

The right method to measure your FC? Google it.. it has been shared many times across the forum too..

If I were to answer you (no spoon feeding)
... then take RM50 / per litre price = LITRES of FUEL

Distance Traveled (Mileage) / LITRES OF FUEL = xx KM/Litre

Go to www.fuelly.com and check it out with other Preve around there to compare yours...

Yup. I just found that info few minutes ago. The thing is, I would like to know the detailed loan scheme for that plan if anyone have that info.
*
What I know is

9 years loan
Just pay according to the schedule.... (You can download the brochure in proton's website)

IMO, It's not worth it ... the interest would sum up to around 3.9%..and by after 3rd years the monthly installment is already equal to the conventional's or perhaps even surpasses them... 5th year onwards.. you are paying more than you should.

QUOTE(hdbjhn2 @ Mar 25 2014, 06:45 PM)
i have a question here,,,knw first tat i'm not anti proton,,i don't do butt dyno,ketuk2 for reliability or hoping sports performance on these cars.Priority of making car should always be like this as customer:safety(active<=passive))>reliability>efficiency>usability(market targeted)>performance...With that said,in my opinion neither perodua or proton have been producing really bad but good cars for the money n improved a lot(in detail, yes),,,i don't just do some barbarian styled evaluation.

However, this proton preve seems to be overrated to me.Considering it's price, performance, safety. It is EXCELLENT(having everythin under 1 package is engineers challange).
Well, crash test seems to be good.Engine is good. But there goes a story about engine efficiency. Many sites including proton Official site claims preve passes Euro Emission "5",WTF THIS IS TOTally unbelievab;e.Seriously i can't trust this men.
Here's like ,,"why' :honda vs preve.,,,think carefully pls>>lol,,pls
1.car weighs 1300kg.(heavy)..made with help of some guy from bmw(refer wiki+car curves,it do smell like bmw.    ,,then            honda city 2014 about 1050kg.

Both have cvt.
Both have good cayalytic converter.(assume honda's better because they tweak their own while proton use something on par with some good aftermarket stuff)
Both have cam profile(definitely vtec have better history n is on GM's top list,,it is a knwn winner).
Engine itself for sure honda made it better(not supporting this pricy rich kids car,,but Honda is GOOD,,engine, efficiecy, chassis,,they would have some fancy stuffs like..mmm..let say better aluminium application on engines(for weight saving)
Campro is dohc + honda is sohc(won't matter coz test of mpg is usually under 90kph,,,sohc still holds good power band)

The result on paper,,,f***  this:official 1 claims  around(non-cfe) 6.2l/100km other sites 7-8l/km

well, for honda(i believe they r not influenced by their government to tokok tambah in order to make it a globall car instead being monitor strictly(not that strict,i knw, cars nw day have some quality issues)--but it's official and any other result claims -5.7l/100km(lighter body of honda/preve is heavy, that's fine but it's 1.5l engine pack more power n torque).
Thus if  u understand how engines combustion efficiency effect Euro emission rating/How much green gas produced...less fuel per 100/km mean=better rating.(other factors like performance of catalytic converter are usually negligible n in this case is safe to be said equal)
How the hell does honda, which have better mpg does only have Euro emission of 2 while preve is '5"(more is better).Even ford's highly "fuel economy-focused" ford fiesta, some of them are only euro 3 n 4.But this not-so-fancy(it is good but...) engine +heavy body),achieves 5 n they even claim they have prepare it for future doh.gif (it looks like edge of it in terms of mpg)

PLs forgive for long post n forgive me if i'm being rude,,,but that's normal, whistling.gif ,Pls read carefully,,n explain to me because reading statitics alone, nothing shakehead.gif
No war pls,,. i would not like some replies from peeps who replies without them knw wat they r talking about, shouting, cursing, the statistic guy(robots),n pretty much,,pls,,stay away. vmad.gif

Other than that, the car sound perfect to me  wink.gif  wink.gif
*
Fair personal review
Honestly I never read much about what emission it is... but I am also keen to find out if the CFE fits into a smaller chassis with lighter weight.... How would the FC fares too..

Refinement - I think it's a known characteristic of a Campro..

Anyway, did you see how fuel efficient is Preve on straight highway? If the test cycle is mainly on cruising, I'm not surprised that the CFE gets
*
I have got 7L/100km (SID) base on 100% cruising at highway 110km/h today. 80% on auto cruise...

Never get to hit a Petrol Kiosk right after highway to really test the real FC....

Don't trust the SA, trust the engineers. They wrote the manual. And the recommended API SL 10W30 mineral or better. That means Syntium 3000 5W40 is very good enough for CFE. The engine was developed with help froum Lotus and designed to work with low viscosity engine oils. The turbo is Borg Warner KP39, and used by other car makers such as Ford and VW. VW recommends 5W40 and Ford recommend 5W30.

Don't worry about 5W or 10W, just worry about the last part, i.e W40, W30.

FYI I'm using Syntium 5000 0W30.

Tesco always have promotion for Shell 5W-40 selling at only RM14x....

Damn if only I could bring this to SC ...

Hi guys... See the picture below. Does this means Caltex 95 and BHP 97 gives me more mileage with my current driving style? unsure.gif

In my case.. yes indeed BHP has always give me more mileage compare to the rest.

So far for this new car I have not used others anymore than BHP..

Perhaps will try when the tank dries up as I avoid mixing

Been using all these while @ my old car..

No issue at all..

I think people always mistaken about Metal King Titanium vs Metal King Gold.

Gold will eats your rotor but not the case for Titanium.. that's why Titanium you see more dust than the Gold's

Just wait until you compete the warranty period, then you can opt to service outside.

Go to SC only for major service smile.gif

That has to be the only way to keep the warranty intact ...hmm
