u will be surprised if u only pump half tank instead of full tank for city drive, u will get more mileage...

How many tanks you've tested? Is it consistent? There's another saying, when unstable liquid form of fuel inside a tank with much space left, movement itself will evaporate the fuel even faster. No doubt, half tank you're only carrying about 20 litres of fuel, it does save some weight. But I've seen some heavy weight driver doing good FC as well.

hi guys,
great day. is that still true all Preve come WITHOUT tyres alignment and balancing? my SA said if you not send in SC by before 500km, the service charge will be apply to owner after this mileage clock. i'm wondering if this statement is valid then why Proton didn't take it as a MUST before handover the new car to buyer??? sad....

Should be <1,000km

I fixed mine at COSE @ 8xxkm

New cars are aligned in factory, but bearing new parts, they require running in. Running in new cars incur cost, and production hours.

For Proton cars, I'm not familiar with their manufacturing process, but I'm guessing we get our cars 'fresh'. After running in for couple of hundred km, it's best we get the major items checked for fine tuning.

how many tanks? within 1 year....i didnt count or record down...
until this June, i own and drive preve for 2 years, 46k mileage...
give or take 20k mileage i pump half tank for city driving...

but i need to stress....i'm talking about city driving within penang island industrial area with average speed not more than 25km/h

note: average speed might not be accurate, but what i remembered is not more than 25km/h...

Running in aside, I think new Proton car already needs alignment, even if they were done in factory.
I think it's the manufacturing practise to produce consistent quality output, which Toyota is famous for.

Take example a Vios I've seen recently, new number plate, drove up to the alignment station and didn't need adjustment. I could see the car owner's pride on his face.

I have a 2012 Proton Preve CFE with 25440 on the clock. I was driving yesterdayevening in the rain, suddenly the ABS and CVT warning light came on! The car lost all its power...couldnt even accelerate....and I moved to the emergency lane somehow. I tried restarting and it was fine. But again in the next 10 mins it happened again. I reached home somehow and parked the car.
Not planning to take it out until the problem is fixed.

Any inputs as to what went wrong? Booked appointmentat COE ttomorrow!

My preve feels so unsafe now!

Any1 faced this?

most probably remove negative terminal of battery (black color) for 1 minute, then connect it back, it will back to normal.

Anyone face this problem before, when you drive more than 100km/h, wind noise coming from the front aircond vent. I already selected to recycle air inside the car on the aircond switch.

No wind noise when i select to get air intake from outside.

Air inlet not tight or the body chassis got holes not properly covered? Service centre can fix?

Hi guys

Just got my preve exec AT today.

I notice under the tuner settings on my car entertainment, there is this function call "traffic". Just wondering what does it do?
