BTW, the process of installing and updating is killing me. Install > Unpack 39GB worth of audio > update 70Mb > UNPACK 39GB OF AUDIO AGAIN. Don't know if there's another update waiting down the line. Haven't accounted for the time i need to update graphic drivers...

I resumed that update from 3GB all the way to finish, Titanfall still unpacking audio. Much wait. Such pain.

Guys, i got the dreaded "Data Center: Searching" problem. I tried pinging the Azure network, ping hovers around 80-100ms. However i cant connect at all in the game. Connected using my uni's internet connection through LAN, i dont think Origin is blocked because i could log in/update just fine. Any solutions?

I understand that they are two different things, and this game basically lives on the Azure network. I tried pinging the Azure networks here and got good ping with my current connection. If i was able to get a response there, shouldn't i get a response in the game as well?

Or is my theory here deeply flawed? In which case i am f***ed upside down

hmm. back when i played the beta at home, i didnt have to forward any ports on my router. My PC wasn't in DMZ mode too, still can connect. I have a last resort - iPhone hotspot - but really dont feel like using it now. Using that connecction, ping is acceptable back in the beta but deaths from rubberbanding did occur.

Thank you for your kind reply. I have to agree, its the ports being blocked. Don't know any workarounds i can do on my own or any IT admins around here to unblock it so i guess i have to give up this connection in order to play. Will use my hotspot then

Noob-friendly i guess?
Reminds me of conquest mode in BF3. Even if you can't shoot at anything that moves, PTFO and you can still win. In Attrition, just keep farming them grunts. I do that in beta and almost always stay on #2 or 3 in the scoreboard.

In other news, i heard you can almost replicate the famous MP5+steady aim combo from COD4 in Titanfall. True?
