Hey all, I'm not one to open topics, but there's a bit of misinformation that I'd like to bring forward regarding the tragedy that's unfolding in front of us about MH370. Namely, all the conspiracy theories and all that have popped up on youtube and facebook.

Well, my main issue is with a video posted on youtube, with some guy saying that FlightRadar24 changed the flight path. As a couple of other forummers here have noticed as well, from what I could tell (namely pulautikus), the uploader deliberately switched the aircraft he showed on his video to further his 'theory'.

MH370 involved in the incident is 9M-MRO. That guy posted a recording of 9M-MRQ, which are two different aircraft.

I won't link the video, as I don't want to accidentally perpetuate misinformation. But I'm sure many of you have seen the video around.

Just my rant and two cents. I just don't think the misinformation going around is helpful to anyone at all.

*Edit note: I know that a lot of forummers such as pulautikus have also noticed the discrepancies about the registration ID's, and have been pointing it out as well. On behalf of all the level headed people of the world, I'd like to thank all those who have been doing so.

If im not mistaken, the plan was delivered to Malaysia by Boeing with the Reg code 9M-MRQ. Once delivered, the registration for this aircraft was registered as 9M-MRO. If im not mistaken ..

both planes were used for the routh MH370 which is from KUL to Beijing.

so be informed that 9M-MRQ is still operational. 9M-MRO is the one that is missing

Thank you all to those who've been trying to correct this gross misrepresentation of facts. On behalf of my sanity, I appreciate that.
