hi guys, I'm new to Wise card, swipe my first time on 2nd March.
My category is Mobile, Petrol & Dining.
Last month i spend more than the cashback limit, because travel a lot tongue.gif

My statement date is on 12th, should I request to change it to month end?
Any advise?

Change it to after 28th will be a good idea... but your Due Date would be 18-20th of the next month.

Have to see your monthly total spending. If you can make it full rm2000, sure WISE and MBB dual cards. They offer the best rate with least T&C.
If above rm2000, UOB will be the next card.
*
monthly spending around RM2000, but sometimes i help ppl swipe to earn some cash back as well tongue.gif
Wise will be my primary for petrol, mobile and dining
for MBB dual cards, most of the merchants do not accept amex, and the mastercard seems no much usage.

MBB's master/Visa I can say is useless, I use it for installment plan only.
Yup, using CC to swipe cash using your way are good. I can say inside that rm1000 I spent on WISE, rm400 is I helping my relative to spend thumbup.gif
*
yea..what is the 2ndary card that you recommend?
because i gonna renovate my house soon, and i believe i have to spend a lot, so i can fully utilize with my card.
currently using ocbc and citi clear (going to terminate soon), but think this both are quite useless.

When doing renovation, I use cash. As most of the time those ID or renovator that accepting CC charge higher than normal.
A rm1000 job they over charge you for rm3000, get back rm30 also can't offset another rm1970 lost sweat.gif
If you insist on what to get slaughter, OCBC's 1% unlimited will be good for you.
*
for those renovation & carpentry i will pay by cash.
but for those electric equipment, i plan to pay by card then: TV, fridge, etc

I see, then still OCBC for your case, unless you want to shop at SenQ(or other higher price shop) which should be accepting AMEX. Those smaller shops I think they don't accept AMEX.
You need to have strategies on getting max cash back from this. As most appliances sure cost > rm1000.
*
yea..thats why i still keeping my ocbc, maybe keep it till next year (b4 the GST charge me tongue.gif)

do you change your wise's statement date?
my statement date is 12th, and really confusing to check how much the cash back i've earned.

btw, it counts by posting date right?

Statement amount are based on posting date, cash back are based on transaction month.
Better change the cutoff date to end of month, easier to keep track.
Because last time I confuse on this 2, I missed the maximum cash back.
My cutoff date are end of month. Just say, I did a rm 100 transaction on 24th last month, the merchant only post it on 31th(which over the cut off date) which I hit the rm1000 on this last transaction. It won't appear on current statement, instead it will shown on next month's. So for last month's statement, I pay lesser at rm800(rm1000-100cash back-missed transaction rm100) but next month's statement come, I'll pay more at rm1000(rm1000-100CB+missed transaction).
*
i see..
so i can just call them and request to change my cc cut off date to end of month?

Should be able to do so, but your cash back may be affected. At least OCBC last time when i change the date I do lose out some.
But WISE's cash back are calculated base on transaction date, so should not affected.

always prepare to buy mentos.
if end with rm0 = add 4-5 mentos.
if end with rm1 = add 3-4 mentos.
if end with rm2 = add 2-3 mentos.
if end with rm3 = add 1-2 mentos.
if end with rm4 = add 1 mentos.
if end with rm5 = perfect.
if end with rm6 = nevermind or add 8-9 mentos.
if end with rm7 = nevermind or add 7-8 mentos.
if end with rm8 = nevermind or add 6-7 mentos.
if end with rm9 = nevermind or add 5-6 mentos.
