For first impressions, the Airphone V headset looks similar to my Beats by Dr. Dre Solo (which I will do a review soon) . The design was pretty stylish with glossy red accent on it. They are not too bulky, but not too low profile at the same time. This headset does seems pretty durable, as the headband extender was made out of tough plastic with a steel layer. So, it should endure everyday use. The headband adjustment can only fit my head(medium-sized) when I extend it to the fullest. And this headset can only be used with Bluetooth compatible devices, which means there are no 3.5mm jack for connecting it with other devices that doesn't have Bluetooth such as PC, MP3 player, and older phones. On the headset itself, there are almost no padding on the inner headband except for rubber covering. Both ear cushions were made out of faux-leather like material with soft foam inside of it. There are volume controls, on/off, play/pause, next/previous track buttons on the left earcup, and there is nothing on the right earcup. The ear cushions is also removable, but can be a hassle to put it back.

First of all, let's talk about the comfort that this cans has to offer. It is comfy for the first 30 minutes of usage, but after that, its starting to hurt my ears a little bit (do take notice, I'm a glasses wearer, so the same experience might not applies to other consumers). The padding on the ear cushions was too little and it does put some pressure on my ears after using it for a while. Because of that, I can only use this headset no more than 1 hour. For me, this headset was not really comfortable for prolonged use.(It may varies with different head-size and ear-shape) For sound quality, I'm not expecting any superb sound quality out of it. As usual, the goods comes first. The drivers does produce a clean vocals and pretty decent audio seperation. The soundstage was normal, not too flat or wide. For those who loves country, punk, emo, or any genres that requires lots of vocals, would appreciate the sound reproduced by this drivers. As for the bass, I wouldn't say it is bad. It does produce a deep sounding bass, but can get a little muddy and boomy at some points. The bass can also overwhelm some of the midrange responses. The treble reproduction was good, but sounds pretty shallow I would say. The lows and highs are pretty clear, but could get a little fatiguing. The midrange response was lacking details because of the overwhelming bass response. It might sound a little dark for Pop, Hip-Hop, Indie, and Electro songs. The max volume was really high, I could say normal person wouldn't want to go near that loud, ever (I have to since it is my job). Overall sound was pretty good if you have to compare some other headsets available within this price range. The wireless range was pretty good, it could withstand around 9-10 meters max. Further than that, the musics might start to fall off. The battery life was also very good. I did try to test out the 10 days lifespan of the battery in standby mode. It still functional after the duration, but the sound sometimes cut off at certain points. I tried to recharge it back to full, and the problem was solved. The built in-mic was a convenient way to pick up calls while on-the-go. For those who are using iPhone or iPad, you can check the battery life from time to time to keep your musics alive.

In the end, this headset was a great way to start for someone who wants the wireless freedom while listening to their favourite tracks. The audio quality was pretty decent at this price range, and the long battery life is definitely a plus. But, for normal consumers, basically you won't really notice the differences in the audio quality except for audiophiles. Would I recommend it? Depends. If you really need freedom from wires, then this headset is great for you. But, if you don't really care whether it is wired or wireless, there are some other choices that you can take into consideration such as Steelseries 3hv2, Sonic Gear Earpump Studio Pro, and AKG K511.
