Am driving a 2.0 a32, I must say, the power is enough for acceleration, but make sure u really step on it..good enough for overtaking. My recent outstation trip to Johor- RM80, can get me 500km mileage, mostly highway. As fc is not a concern, I think a32 and camry xv20 should fit the bill. A32 is a comfortable car, and also V6 is smooth, but if compare with suspension, I think T still trump. In terms of spareparts - no problem for a32, I mean there are abundance!! Overall, a32 looks better to me, compare to Toyota xv20...
Me ex and co-owner of Cefiro 2.0, A32. Have been using this car since 10 year ago,
have past to my wife to use it for the past 2 year. Currently owning an ACV40 Camry.
Agreed to said that the the power is enough for acceleration and overtaking. The engine is much
more smoothness due to V6 engine. For 2.5, the roadtax will be killing you. Others maintenance cost
is as cheap as proton, most of the spare part, can get it from chopped shop and it abundence.
Agreed too on comment that A32 have durable look as compare to XV20 which look bulky to me.
Another good point on A32, passenger do not feel the floating effect for long distance travelling, but
Camry do have such effect if you press hard and travel >110km on truck road.
Try to get one with low mileage like,<150k km with good condition, the major
part failure will be at 200-250k, but quite cheap for replacement part like gearbox,
air-cond condensor unit , alternator (in Klang Vally, i dun known it is easy accessible
in Sg Petani?)
Comment of sucking fuel,
Yes, on A33, but not A32 with stock car condition.
my cefiro alway can gave me full tank (55 litres) about 500km(mixed), for
100% highway cruising, u can get 600km. But due to this engine without
VVTI, as you drive >130km, the FC will not be good.
