Rooted my device yesterday, and install Unicon but seem like it doesnt support huawei launcher.
So .. give Go launcher a shot, got a little of lag using it when come out from game, but its acceptable. Screenshot_2014-06-17-08-55-33 Screenshot_2014-06-17-08-55-46 |

Having used this phone a week this is my 5 cent rating
10 is best while 1 is worst Display : 9.5 Handling n pocketability : 8 ( depend highly on one clothing types) Touch screen responsiveness : 9 Overall performance : 8 Option to install app onto ext sdcard ( those that allow it ) without root: 10 Battery life : 10 Ease of Rooting : 10 Overall smoothness : 9 Camera shots quality : 8 Camera speed: 9.5 Phone speaker : 9 Call quality : 10 Gaming : not a gamer but so far few games tested play well. Cannot comment much on this App incompatibility : none so far Only Things I don't like: power button location should be placed higher n best is just below sd slot. Present position accidentally press is common Double tap to wake-up display very good n responsive. Way better than my LG Pad 8.3 Any other aspect you guys want to know ? Would you recommend this as an all in one phone or as a 2nd phone for tablet replacement? Price is very close to IPad Mini so I'm thinking which option is better.

For me, I am using G2 as main and this as gaming and browsing. Need the juice more for gaming. Main phone mainly for work and some chats. So far this is worth every penny device. Like what Uncle Benny commented, the power button would be ideal if position higher but I guess they make it at this position due to it is 7 incher so that we can easily reach. I would recommend this over Ipad mini. Never like IOS which is so many restrictions. |

You need a different set of app. I had never like IOS but yet I spend money to buy it but eventually disposed usually within 2-3 months. Its restrictive OS is a dissapointment. But my friends do tell me this is the tablet for serious gamers of which I am not interested. I sold off my 128gb ipad mini RD in less than 3 months n replaced it with LG Pad 8.3 |

see the review. It is somehow laggy with the device? So in real world usage how does it feel?
I owned a Samsung Galaxy note 10.1 and honestly i dont like the laggy experience i get. I hope i could get something similar to my Nexus 4 device which is silky smooth. |

Price is very close to IPad Mini so I'm thinking which option is better. it depends on whether u use phone functions a lot cuz it is not so suitable as an everyday phone due to the size like for me, i'm stuck in the bus for few hours every week so the X1 suits me if purely comparison between X1 vs iPad Mini retina as tablet, I will prefer X1 due to the ability to make calls/sms for emergency situations |

I have used the N4 before n honestly none of the other phones can match Nexus smoothness. If this is important stick to N4 or N5. Closest I would say is the M8 or S5 in smoothnessI owned a Samsung Galaxy note 10.1 and honestly i dont like the laggy experience i get. I hope i could get something similar to my Nexus 4 device which is silky smooth. I too using now the Note10.1 n the X1 thrumps it in overall smoothness I am not particular about smoothness as is an unimportant issue to me. Overall this phone performs well enough for me...lag problem if it had is unnoticeable to me |

Possibly is becuz X1 have got 2GB RAM so it can handle the custom Huawei skin without lag. Scrolling across pages is not silky smooth as Nexus 5 but it's no noticeable lag |

QUOTE(gill1314 @ Jun 18 2014, 01:03 AM) anyone know how to hide the bottom bar ? why i saw on youtube other x1 got option to hide the bar ? The hide bottom bar option is only available after firmware update. I got both set, original and china honor x1. There are many functions that is not available in local set yet as there is no firmware update available. For the china set, there is already two firmware update that I have perform so far. When I first got the phone, it does not have these function too, it is only available after firmware update. and why my sound setting dont have DTS setting ? i saw youtube got this option too As for the DTS, I do notice that the china set got this function but local set does not. Perhaps it will be available after firmware update. |

In anticipation of my Mediapad X1, I got an Adonit Jot mini stylus. I tested it on the demo unit in Low Yat. It works nicely if you write slowly.
I would be using my Note3 for primary note taking and the Mediapad can be used for consumption and minor annotations. |
