Hey guys, doing my OWD at Redang soon (enjoyed my confined water lessons a lot!). Got a few questions, hope you guys can help.

1) If I get a rashguard and pair it with a swim trunk, that's good enough right?

2) Considering to get my own subscription mask cause sometimes my contact lens just refuses to cooperate especially in the mornings. Anything in particular to keep in mind when purchasing?

3) I have a couple of leisure dives after my exam. Planning to rent an underwater cam. What type of camera do they usually provide? Advisable for beginners to handle during diving? (I do play with some photography as a hobby)

Other things to take into consideration when getting the housing is whether you intend to invest in strobes in the future or not.

Both also very nice place for diving. For Pulau Weh, make sure your trip is not during full moon or new moon, otherwise current can be quite strong from what I heard. You can also contact photopro to see if you can get good rates as he runs one of the dive centers there.

guys how much usually PADI course for newbie?

my company organizing scuba activity with cert. RM900 estimation for PADI only.

not for the cert. we got to pay using own money. they provide accommodation, transport to perhentian only.
utilities such as?

Blue ribbon eel - yes
Tresher shark - yes ( I've only saw once Common tresher bout 4mtr long. Such q beauty)
Whale shark - hmm., yes but longgg time ago.
Manta - yes (depending on luck)
Mola - mola - yes (depending on luck and water temperature)
Good viz - yes (normally about 20mtr on a bad day)

Eagle ray, school of devil ray (normally 40-100), silvertip shark, friendly titan triggerfish, so many types of trigger fish, school of giant trevally, school of giant barracuda, many types of eel, super huge Napoleon wrasse (as big as Myvi, you can find this at Canyon dive site but depending on your luck also la), oh! Last fwbruary I saw 4 hammerhead at Pantee Peunateung for 3 consequences day. And many many more type of underwater life la.

Pulau Weh is somewhere I feel like home. And its cheap there.

I just crop the pics and adjust the exposure. So far been only using it for few dives. Still learning to use the manual mode by trial and error. But for the pictures I posted, I use UW mode for wide angle and AV mode for macro. The first three pics was taken at the same site, depth was about 23m. The nudi was from one of the reef, about 9m.

With RM1450, u should have got Fantasea G16 Casing! Its just additional around RM100 difference!
