Like using the laptop as a desktop ? taking out the battery because I don't want to maximize the battery life cycle and plug in too often to play videogames .

Hi Cap Jones,

As mentioned by adil, those series are able to remove battery from outside smile.gif

And yes you have to plug in AC once the battery is removed.

You mean ultrabook as in gaming model ? I believe there is no ultrabook from ILLEGEAR but if you considered 20mm+- thickness is ultrabook, then there is smile.gif

Turbo enabled. This is the max percformance the notebook can churn out. Trust me i checked the data. Only posted graphs of actualy gameplay fps. Not cutscenes. Tested this few times n got the samething. Drop in gpu utilization. Cpu utilization also didnt show anything extraodinary.

Will check later with desktop n try to nerf the gpu to a equivalent gtx970m.also redo the test since patch 1.03 is out.

Btw i didnt post clearly but it happens from the inn part onwards

Btw my desktop vid@ultra 1440p. Skip to the inn part. Fps n gpu utilization good.

Patch 1.03. FPS and utilization all good.

Seriously surprise the game can run at this settings that Nvidia GFE optimizes. basically a mixture of High/Ultra with Motion blur/blur/dof ( stupid settings anyway that i dont use on all games unless u like blur) disabled. with Hairworks disabled.

So with the graph above just ignore the framerate dips on the low utilization

Will redo the video and benchmark fps.....

but definitely above 40 again.

few notes. steam is stupid. Sometimes it messes up my graphic settings between desktop and laptop when it syncs the saves.

Q3 is slightly heavier, and it's not an ultrabook wink.gif

It's still very portable and powerful.

What is your usage first ? If you're looking for normal usage, there is not much choice except RU-14. Other model all comes with dgpu and quad core processor. Battery life wise, the most it can last for ILLEGEAR laptop is 6hours+- if I'm not mistaken. If you want long lasting battery (8hours+), you should look for other ultrabook.

ILLEGEAR S and Q series provides 20mm+- thickness laptop. You can have a look at it

IC Diamond Thermal Compound contains 92% pure synthetic diamond. It maximizes thermal heat transfer between the CPU/GPU core and heatsink by taking advantage of diamond's superior thermal conductivity.

Just got my hands on the Illegear Z5, first impression, Beautiful. Design is simply stunning and much more beautiful in real life than in pictures.

Let me play around with it a couple of days, will write up a good review on this wink.gif .
