I wonder what the fresh graduate expect in working life. Easy job, high salary at least 3K as starting salary, 25 annual leave + 25 medical leave, annual increment of 10- 20%, Boss is nice, and....what else? Is that what fresh graduate looking for.

it depend actually , if you are not desperate for job , mean no loan to pay no desperate for money and such , just keep finding the job you want to do lah . no need settle for something less

but if you are desperate then just do whatever you cna get your hand on .

cant really complain , most company are liar , say hire freshie , no news after send email , so if not desperate just keep on finding loh

What u mean? Till now i still photocopy my own stuff. Apa? Higher pay, more experience makes u lose the ability to photocopy? tongue.gif

Joke, but seriously, my designation kononnya is senior analyst, still gotta do my own copying mah, small deal lah. I'm more worried the staff copy wrong for me, more headache. Baik i do myself. Same for presentation materials and other things I put my name to.

ha, fresh grad here working as software engineer... handle one to two project alone with low pay. Nowaday, boss very picky, they pick those who (fresh grad) are able to start immediatly (really start immediate without need to teach/guide him, handle the things on your own, got question, come come...).

Doing corporate recovery here. In the first 3 months or so, I was just drafting letters for my bosses, and doing other administrative stuff like photostating. But as time goes by, I am given more jobs and more responsibilities, to the extent that I am now DROWNING.

The positive side of it is that I learn more now than the first 3 months. When you bao san bao hoi, you will learn to see the bigger picture. You can only move on to higher level once you can see the bigger picture.

I used to work as a PR Consultant. Fresh out of uni then. Sit in meetings with clients:brand managers, alone. Write minutes. Listen to clients rant. Review all newspapers (12 altogether). Draft press releases. Amend press releases.Get yelled by boss everyday. Write business proposals. Travel to client's place to collect samples. Call up editors of relevant mags and newspapers to publish press releases. fax press release. organise and set up launches, press conferences, etc. humour journalists.call journalists and ask them when will they publish the event. clip up all news pertaining to client's, compile them, calculate the media value and send it off to clients. admin work. all these within 3 months. One leg kick a lot of things.

Tough job, but worth the experience.

Working in medium scale company (500+ employees, 6 branches in Malaysia) as Engineer - test vendor's motherboard, run my software on vendor's machine, carry and install machine in test tower when visitors come, carry machine back to my work cubicle when visitors gone (coz only got one evaluation copy), when need to test new product, boss wants me to immediately set it up at test tower to see problems that may arise, instead of testing at a simulator panel nearer to my work area first. So when problems arise, must carry my monitor, k/b and mouse to test tower to debug there. It is tiresome because I must WALK up the test tower. Apart from that, give presentation to visitors on the company's products, talk to vendors, setup demo things for visitors. More headache when setting up for visitors because when I cannot find the cables and cards, or when settings were changed earlier, I have to troubleshoot or makeshift something to come out with the answer. Problem = always WASTING time IMPROVISING. It is not a learning experience because I know the answer and it is the only resource that I have and that I know works. When you run out of time, the answer is what you have with you.

OT is limited to RM200 per month, earning RM2k and working on Saturdays, except 1st and 3rd Saturdays.
