Openpork FC very bad

hey guys... have some question to ask, when turning left or right at junction, there will be krak krak krak sound from behind.. any idea where it comes from? went to both rs auto (puchong) and renaultech (USJ) but mr hoe and william can't figure out the problem... any sifu here staying near subang or usj? maybe can test drive it and see if any of you know this problem? this problem has been there for many years...

Not quite possible to go that far, as no appointment at that area. Unless you come to Sri Damansara. Here's a few things to take note for me to troubleshoot online:

1) Please record the sound,best a video for me and upload it on youtube
2) speed when that happen? Or doesn't faster/slower speed will affect the noise?
3) Lock to lock turn(tight corner/u-turn) or any other turn?
4) Jackup the rear left/right 1 by 1. Release handbrake and spin the wheel see whether is there any sound
5) If spin also hard to spin, could be brake jam
6) Try to tilt the rear tyres, see whether if there's free play. Normally other than spinning, your rear wheel should have no other extra activity.
7) Check exhaust mounting also

However, before you can provide me any further information, I'd guess it's bearing noise due to tapper misaligned?

3) Lock to lock turn(tight corner/u-turn) or any other turn? - tight corner, u-turn, 90 degree turn, hm... as long as it is a turn i guess..

Release handbrake and spin the wheel see whether is there any sound - done that by mr hoe when checking on bearing few years ago before i found renaultech which is nearer to my place, no unusual sound found. he taught me how to check if bearing is faulty or not.
5) If spin also hard to spin, could be brake jam - solved jam brake problem at renaultech few months back but still the same.

btw, 2005 model MT here.

Hi David, what are the mods you have done on your savvy besides open pod (brand?) and the strut bar? Very good FC! I have always wanted to get the best FC out of mine. The last I did was only 270km+ on pure city driving with full tank. It has been really declining even though I brought it for regular service. I used to get 330km, minimum.

Put a vacuum gauge, and start obeying efficient vacuum reading driving method. You'll surprise the same car, without touching anything mechanically yet it yield much more mileage for the same amount of petrol by simply changing the way you put your foot down on the gas pedal The car is stock, other than belakang pakei stock replacement RIMUS ekzos, means similar design like stock AISIN no sound that type.

Openpork, DIY brand. The mushroom is cekai aftermarket type. I'm in the midst of collecting for bulk purchase. So, if you conlanfirm want 1, then we only short 2 to make a bulk order.

Sounded like this, no other information. If we get 5 in total, I can negotiate price on the elephant trunk(flexi rubber intake hose). Looking forward slightly below RM100 include chap ayam performance filter. As per my picture posted earlier. Not pretty at all, because no bling² since it's DIY. However, I can spend some money in buying the can spray and spray RED on the steel pipes for you if you want. I also don't know why, so far my car is the only unit that has the phenomenon kind of FC yet retain violent kinda sprint. On driving, it sounded like this:



Under normal driving condition, it behave just like any other Shawie, only when I start to drive lika moron, then only the filter will make noise. Ignore during 57seconds when waifu called that part. After off the call, got a small action, then you can tell the difference between normal drive and spirited driving.

May i know what is the function of steering rack? Sent for allignment and they said later on need to change steering rack. Btw i feel that my steering is a bit heavy. Is it due to that?

Or is it because of i seal the power steering switch?
