Facelift model 2007 already introduced. However, I ask people to select 2008 just to be sure they dont get the old stock, as 2007 Plotong still selling 2006 stock(which is pre-strengthen spindle version).

Need to open brake hub & check 1st If not, discount 1k for rear spindle upgrade

today I've driven a savvy for first time but I'm really really depressed guys the car was very weak

I'm not sure whether the problem is just in that car or maybe my driving style and putting gears was bad coz I just drove it for 3 min

if we compare the power of the savvy with myvi1.3 is there big different??

You must have mistaken the LIGHTNESS of the gas pedal and power output Mind you, Plotong Shawie is using SENSOR as gas pedal input(technically known as Drive By Wire), compare to old junk technology in a MyBi which uses cable, ofcourse you feel light and fast response from a MyBi. If you want even lighter, find an even older carburetor engine car and try, the gas pedal response fast until you forget what you eat for breakfast.

For all Drive By Wire vehicle, there will be lagness of gas pedal input. The reason for the existance is to make use have less jerkiness having smoother transition between INPUT/RELEASE of gas pedal. On the contrary, it loses the actual response from the engine. In order to feel the power, put your foot down hard!

A car fully repainted has got 2 reasons.
1) Major accidents
2) The owner has nothing much better to do/spent his/her money

Take a wild guess than please do not take that car. Shawie is not that old/faded until needed to repaint the whole car

Not true also...my hood got colour paint fade/patch after a few years..so I have to paint the hood coz its really ugly,. The workshop guy says its bad job done at proton,
maybe they didnt paint properly first round, then do patch paint job on it.
But ididnt paint whole car lah...too much money meh...just paint hood and front bumper.

the proton SC tells me that when he sees my service booklet it is not very nice and quite difficult for the insuran to to bare the cost because sometime i service a bit late and this will make things difficult for the insuran company to cover and make the processing even slower. the fastest it can process everything is 1 month if everything went smoothly if i am not mistaken. I dont have time for that cause i got something to do with the car urgently for the next few weeks. so i opt the service center to change the parts straight ahead which took only one full day.

i change:

Clutch plate
clutch gear stick
and the AMT system but not all of it there are 4 main parts if i am not mistaken and i change only 3 the one i did not change is the most expensive
gear fluid oil
engine oil
Engine filters
Pump (not sure what this is)
Battery

There are some more of it but i have to find the list

Its been almost 5 days now the car in proton subang SC but they said they will bare the cost cause last week the car could not get into gear smoothly after the service. The engine keep on rev high every time the AMT want to change gear and some how lost all gear ratio but when it slows down than it manage to get into proper gear with the amt light flashing frequently. If i manage to go into high gear should not be a problem. I ususally drive in D mode seldom using the manual system

mine not yet repaint. mind you, first batch model 2005.
just some suka2 front bonet n bumper paint and stickers~



demonblighter i suggest u go see amt specialist.. osman baba.. he can help repair it for lesser cost.. or can go find hasan razak (gombak new savvy specialist).. or kuda terbang (engine transpant).. all this at fb..

so I think I need to test savvy again (unfortunately I couldn't find anyone for rent)

so the car that i found I don't think it had an accident but it's fully repainted and there were R3 body kit on it so may the owner painted the car to have all the same color ?!!

if it were fully painted is it hard to re sale with less value ??

BTW the car already has 3 owners

regarding amt, i dunno how to fully utilize the gbox.. have try one car before but fail to impress me cause laggyness of the slutch work.. i've been on mt since day 1 driving up till 2011.. then at gbox were introduce to me.. haha..

regarding savvy engine, you need to hit the powerband correctly which is 3k in order to feel the powerful of the engine.. this is the requirement of this engine.. not same as myvi which u can feel power immediately upon pickup.. i think due to engine design.. and some dont like the short range gearbox.. at fifth gear cruising 110kmh+, the rpm is a bit high.. so engine noise a lil bit high..

accident or not need to carefully look inside the bumper and see all the clips.. check for mileage too.. high mileage might make you suffer due to lots more wear and tear item to be repair later.. timing belts and clutch cable are things that need to fix upon buying 2nd hand.. for me, better replace rather sitting at sideway waiting for tow truck..
cheapest rm350 to change the belt (hasan razak) - using citroen belting.. clutch cable will cost u mere less 100 plus labour..

when talking bout car, sometimes depend on luck too.. even new car are not guarantee to have no problem..

paint story, depend colour. if pelik2 color mmg susah mau jual and can drop the price (which is already low) to even lower..

my 2005 car, only can get me around 5k offer max.. which is cheaper then 1999 satria.. hahaha.. savvy really hated by second hand car dealer eh?

Yep...last time if i cruise at higher speed, suddenly for some reason, i try to change the gear and up shift again...then i realized i don't have a sixth gear!!! LOL.
