ouch.. tukar amt own pay?
ades..

pity you not join club and ask around first.. should just change to mt (cost somewhere 2-5k depend on parts price) or drop another engine better..
if drop K3VE (toyota passo / daihatsu boon / perodua myvi) super nice.. 1.3 and got auto.. but price.. haha.. ready to fork somewhere near to 12k region.. up a bit K3VET (turbo inside)..
where 4EFTE (toyota starlet) cost you a little bit lower plus more power at somewhere 10k region..

but both route (change transmission / change engine gbox), need few month downtimes. so you need to have another car around to make such jobs..  whistling.gif  whistling.gif  whistling.gif

Now cheaper ady, can be done between 5~7k depending on workshop. Last I heard got 1 shop in Pandan Indah nearby Steven's corner there got do transplant. K3VE can be as cheap as 2k, wiring,ECU and other matters including welding to retrofit the engine, and most importantly labor intensive hence workmanship also expansive. All together can goes up to 4k~5k. Transplant job will take about a week, but ofcourse need to prebook your slot. Not like you go there straight away dump the car there, ofcourse kena wait for months lar if you do that laugh.gif

Yes, Renau Tech does the job pretty well. Price is much reasonable compare to SC. To fully fix the damn AMT, usually cost between 3~6k depending on how many part rosak. Other than that, future maintenance make sure you send it back to Renau Tech, they know what needs to be maintain. Honestly, I've seen some tough cookie AMT running around without problem at all, until they sent to Plotong SC. Those f***ers doesn't even know our AMT needed special fluid to prevent the AMT from catching a flu.

The 1 time I heard AMT start to behave like a b****, SC pour normal automatic transmission fluid into it. The next time I heard GaGa CVT went KO, also because SC pour normal automatic transmission fluid into it. doh.gif

So, do send to Renau Tech, ask them to diagnose your problem 1st. Who knows you may get lucky, could be done by just an oil change icon_idea.gif
*
I also second this to send to RenauTech.
My sis had AMT (now change Myvi sigh) and Plotong SC pour MT fluid into it. GG gearbox. Some more don't want admit that they pour wrong fluid. In the end they replace FOC after kena unleash nuclear by mother lol tongue.gif
After that I discover these guys here in LYN Savvy and discover Renautech and took it there. 1st service settle all problem rclxm9.gif but in the end my sis let go want trade for myvi (still complain myvi eat 2x more petrol cool2.gif)

Moral of story:
Savvy never go to Plotong SC. They will KO our baby sad.gif

Update:
Oh forgot to mention I still own my MT Savvy biggrin.gif yes we so impress with Savvy at that time until buy 2x lol I drove the AMT for 3+ years w/o issue (no jerk, no stuck, no nothing) until kena GG.
By that time already got my own MT version.

Scroll down to STEERING COLUMN, the part list is there. I'm not sure which 1 is needed. But I guess it will cost you easily 1k to fix it if buy new. If kedai potong, you'll have to enquire by yourself I unable to help.
*
da check kat steering column tu ade 2 universal joint, macam boleh turunkan, tp kena modified sbb xde adjuster..

At first I want to insurance to cover cost but the proton people tell me it will take 1 month to finish

I ask why take so long this is my only car

they said that the insuran people will check the service booklet and the car everything and it will take about 2-3 weeks after that they will reconfirm back the parts that is under warranty then it will take about another week doh.gif

so about 1 month if everything is ok and i dont have a spare car rclxub.gif

So end up paying the amt repair which take only 1 full day

anyone got specific adress to change the whole engine system again cause i am not very familiar with that area

If got passby Pandan Indah then I go ask for you. But I have question on your previous AMT experience. So does it mean that your car was repaired under EXTENDED WARRANTY from the insurance company? And would like to know how much you paid for the AMT repair. If you can, would you mind to share a copy of your repair list? I think, it could be a chance that the SC didn't repair your car properly for you. Usually if everything in the AMT is replaced, it will last you easily for another 3~5 years without any issue at all.
