ok guy i have a 2005 M savvy

While driving, Suddenly car cannot go in any gear middle of the road.
No any broken sound, dont have any sign of hard to enter Gear.
But reverse gear normal la.

Nearby workshop tow back to shop.

After some checking, the mech told that was gear box problem.
Not clutch or anything.

The mech suggest to replace another unit gearbox. any suggestion? was qoute gearbox for 2.2k & not include workman ship.

Not feeling to give up the car yet. Really is a good small car petrol saving car.

If the gear can change while engine is off, try to crank engine while gear is engaged to gear one or two. Just one crank only.

Probably the gear stick adjuster misaligned. Ask the mechanic to adjust that one first. It is located at the bottom of the gearbox. Can adjust use wrench only. Need two person to adjust. One person play with the gear stick another one adjust the bolt under gearbox.

I dont bother about the symptom as it doesn't give any efect on my car. Just the mileage is not moving.
