How to Root Your Device

This is Easy Root Tool for Z1 Compact (might also work on other Xperia devices). It's almost one-click root. Currently only Windows is supported, I might add linux support later. Bootloader is untouched!

Requirements

• USB debugging enabled
  Settings => About phone => Click 7 times on Android Build to unlock developer options
  
• Unknown sources enabled
  Settings => Security
  
• adb drivers installed
  

How to use

1. Download the attachment and extract it
   
2. Download http://towelroot.com/ and put tr.apk inside folder /files
   
3. Start your phone and plug it to your computer
   
4. Run install.bat and follow the instructions on screen
   
5. Congratulations! You should now be rooted.

TS have already posted this in the opening page. but it have since been updated. it is said that the easy root tool v4 will automatically download the tr.apk. so save you additional steps.

i've also noticed that the supersu have been updated to v2.0. so i am not sure if u can just download it from playstore. or just to play safe, just download from the link provided

as i said, it have been updated since i rooted mine. so i can't really give u step by step guide also.

Ok.. Finally managed to root my Z1..

I used the Easy Root Tool v5.. Just follow the instruction at the xda page..

I heard it was RM40.
As below. It's very simple but I suggest you not to since unlocking already got you worried.

As you unlock bootloader, you will void warranty if you did not back up TA partition. Don't question back what TA partition and so on so forth is. You'll need to explore XDA more.
